I know a total of 6 people who have died to covid(all 2nd hand/didn't personally know them)
1-My dad's cousin
2-My friends uncle
3-BIL aunt
4-BIL friend
5- Other brother in law aunt or cousin didn't get the details
6-Friends family friend
The youngest I belive was 42.
I don't know of anyone who has died of opioid overdose (less commen in my area), but I do agree opioids are BIG problem in the US that needs to be dealt with. My sister and her family also got covid thankfully they all recovered. She did have some minor breathing issues for a few weeks after testing negative, and she is 32. My aunt and her husband also got it and didn't have much problems with it thankfully. Just sharing my experience on how I've seen covid affect people's life around me.
Current lifts:
Flat bench press 195 1 rm
Squat: 230 3 rm( before messing back up)
deadlift: 240 1 rm( before messing back up)
Avi not current

So you’re full of chit and can’t substantiate a thing you say. You intentionally speak vaguely because you know you haven’t any understanding of the actual data. Sit down and shut it flutard.

Socialists have used propaganda to radicalize the left, and the right has fallen under Trump's spell.
Your problem is you are looking at a fight halfway through and making a judgement call. Like if a man calls his wife a bich and you attack him, not realizing that she's been going on a 10 minute-long tirade against him in public and slapping him in the face while he sat there and took it until he finally had enough.

Every time Trump makes any statement, it is false. It is a lie, it is dog-whistling, it is propaganda, it is signalling his cult. Doesn't matter what he says, it is wrong and a lie. He is the most aggressive dictator the world has ever seen and is chided for it every day in the press. However, when he takes a step back and lets the states decide how to respond to outbreaks they are experiencing, then he is inept and a terrible leader.

Any person with a critically-thinking brain or sense of logic can see these things and is disgusted by the massive amounts of hypocrisy being pushed on us every day. I honestly wish people would calm down about Trump a tad because there are things I'd like to complain about him as well but I don't dare in order to lend any credence to the 90%+ anti-trump messaging in our daily lives.

I haven't seen anyone say it's a hoax.

I will say this. I was really starting to think this was bad. Like shutting down was a good idea bad.

Then the "protest" started and it wasn't that big of a deal. So now I'm back to the everyone needs to be careful but shutting down was dumb.

Like others have said, people don't call covid a hoax, it's how it's being used.

Edit: I could be wrong. This could be world ending but it's funny how msm and some politicians were like it's not that big of a problem. Protesting is good.

Huh? Per capita in cases we are 2800 per million, US is over 10k per million. In deaths we are 8800 versus 130,000 so even if you factor in the population we are 40% less.

If the virus was that dangerous and bodies were just plopping on the floor, people would not have been allowed to protest, end of story

It's not a hoax obviously, was the initial response reasonable imo? Yes.

Is the response reasonable now? No.

Every day the US becomes less irrelevant, and eventually will erode from the inside. Its decline has already started, and is being sped up, while those who can loot what they can (no, I'm not talking about some iphones and clothing...)

Cases depend on testing and deaths have wildy varying guidelines for reporting, often with strong incentives to over report.

Critical/serious cases or hospitalizations are the closest thing to an accurate reflection of reality.
