As far as them being a tiny fraction of the population, true. But in any group of 150, you are fairly likely to find one. They are out there, and they aren't all p3dos, rapists, etc. Most are just people living very awkward lives, most likely due to brain developmental abnormalities.

Notice the riots last night? Burning stuff in the middle of the street. Blocking streets. Attacking cops. Setting fire to a police precinct.
All so peaceful. Just like with the Feds.

That said im not sure transitioning is the answer. The surgery does not lead to a good realistic outcome. Based on what I know which again im no expert id rather society treat them with respect so they dont feel its necessary to take that last step.

r/LGBDropTheT was banned from Reddit, so you're not wrong. I don't know when the left is going to get it through their thick skulls: The left does not care about women. I tell libfems off all the time, the left only supports abortion because it makes women more sexually available. Same with "empowering" sex work and "empowering" pornography. They don't give a fuk about women.
The libs are marxists, they believe everything is a "struggle" between oppressor and oppressed. Now that women are losing the "oppressed" status in the mind of the libs, they've moved on to the next group.
In their mind, nothing the "oppressed" class does can be at fault, which is why they justify rioting and **** liek " you can't be racist against whites".

I will absolutely never recognize a trans man as a women. I am not going to hate them and I do wish them well, but no.

But I also don't believe that women can become men. I'm not "trans exclusionary," women who identify as men are still women, they're absolutely welcome to share the powder room with me. That's why the TERF slur is completely nonsensical, but I'd expect nothing less from a cult trying to shame women with the audacity to stand up for themselves.
However, I haven't used a public changing room in what feels like ages. The time I spend in the public bathroom is limited to the length of time it takes me to pee. So it's not particularly long. I am, perhaps, not affected as greatly by this as you would be.
I also understand that there is a fundamental difference between the type of man that might transition and the type of woman who might do so.
Truth be told, I can understand a point of view that says "You were dealt this hand, and it is the hand you must play. Nobody else gets to change hands, you should learn how to appreciate yours."
And then at the same time I also recognize that there should be some amount of freedom to do with one's body as they please. However, only adults should have that ability.

Teachers with ideology to push see these kids as think "Clearly they are trans and just don't know it. My far left sources explained this and they can't possibly be wrong."
Even worse are the parents that want to be e-famous. "All 3 of my kids are trans, what are the chances?" About the same as the chances of you throwing them out of the house when they end up 20 YO weirdos that clearly wont ever be employed.

I know it's tricky but everybody should spread the word about these conferences.
People need to wake up.
A lot of people are not sleeping but they are not vocal because they don't know that there are groups of people out there fighting for the right cause and normality.

Same.
Of course I would respect the requested name/pronoun of someone I meet if they ask to the best of my ability.
Men in women's prisons? Um, no. Men in women's sports? Also no.
These stories scare me and also I think they need to be more widely shared TBH.
My daughter became friends with a girl in middle school who meets this description (seem to be on the spectrum, wants to be addressed with a male name) and I have heard her openly speak about how bad it is to be female and that is why she wants to be male. According to the mom the girl's father is abusive (most likely malignant NPD from description) and seems openly misogynistic. The girl has brothers and wants to be "one of the boys".
I don't approve of the friendship and thought that it was reduced/paused. Now it seems to be back on and maybe includes another girl(s). I strongly wanted my daughter to go to a different school this year, but I've been thwarted. I would really like to get her involved with a different social group.

I don't even know what to think about this anymore. I'm going to re-read the thread and glean some info.
I have a couple gay family members and always kinda lumped the trans stuff in with that, and want to be loving and accepting of everybody however they seem to be wired.
On the other hand, my oldest has a couple trans friends -- although I don't know if they have started hormones, I've been somewhat uncomfortable with their situations, especially how it's almost a status symbol to them.
My cousin has a daughter who is on testosterone. She might be 18... It does seem like an increasing phenomenon.

The answer can not be to redefine legal meanings and legal protections to stop hurt feelings.
Trans people should either accept that they already have the same rights as everyone else. - To dress, toilet, share facilities, prisons and compete with their own biological sex. Etc.
OR
They should petition/campaign for their own spaces for their own unique needs, the same way women had to a few years ago. Not try and snatch the spaces that were fought for by and created for women.

I was surprised to see so many parents of older teens and young adults in attendance, and delightfully surprised to see so many men (note: full attendance was hidden to prevent doxxing, so I only saw who chose to use an avi in the Discord chat). One mother and activist, Lynn Meagher, spoke at length about losing both her son and daughter to what she perceives to be a cult.
Several speakers had me completely on board with what they were saying, but I'm still noodling on the idea that euphemistic phrases like "trans identifying males" or "trans women" shouldn't even be entertained. One particular speaker believed that adopting these terms deliberately obfuscates and confuses, and argued that women in particular should rely on their own perception and not be coerced into using this fake language. She referenced Andrea Dworkin's work around the "male power of naming," and that very time we say "trans women" or even "trans identifying" we are supporting every bit of bullchit and harm being done to us and others. Instead, she advocated for "men who demand I recognize them as women." Not so sure that I agree TBH. Thots?

Thots?

I only understood half your post. Idk anything about the issues and I’m not exposed to any of this irl. I think I’m against transgender agenda but idk anything about it really.
Literally the only place I hear about this is on misque. I don’t have tv so maybe that’s where people get this? And how do you even get to a seminar about this? Idk I can’t relate to a 13 hour seminar vs zero exposure irl like I have.

I agree with what you said above. For 99.999999999% of the population, including trans people, you can look at them and immediately know if they are a man or a woman. I have a problem with the whole word game nonsense about calling them what they are versus what they want to be called. I think this a big part of how Jordan Peterson went viral. He refused to be forced to do this.

You know, a lot of trans people think the activist types are doing them a disservice. Many trans people are fine just getting on with their lives and aren't asking for anyone to treat them in a certain way or whatever. I definitely notice this whole thing where people have this idea that all trans people are demanding others treat them in a certain way, it's just not true.
Many people see a trans person then get all "Oh so you want me to call you a woman, huh bud? You were born a man so don't you dare demand of me, etc, etc..." meanwhile the trans person has said ---literally nothing--- or demanded anything.
How many of you have actually talked to a trans person? A lot of them are very reasonable people, and are nothing like how people tend to view them.
Don't paint em' all with the same brush, that's all I'm saying

I see two pieces which may, or may not, fit together the way I see them.
One is an apparent increase in the number of neuro atypical children. One guy theorizes that is related to the use of glyphosphate. I don't know if he is on to something, or not, but I do know that glyphosphate affects our gut bacteria and that our gut bacteria seem to have an influence on our neurology.

The second piece is what seems to be a definite correlation between autism or sensory processing disorders and gender dysphoria.
The paper this was based on was retracted by their editorial board. The claim the retraction was generally for "insufficient evidence". Maybe. But I wonder if it wasn't such a touchy area if the paper would have received the same amount of scrutiny.

A new theory of gender dysphoria argues the symptoms of the condition are due to changes in network activity, rather than incorrect brain sex, according to work recently published in eNeuro.
Gender dysphoria is a state of extreme distress caused by the feeling that a person’s true gender does not match the gender assigned at birth. The leading theory of the mechanism behind gender dysphoria attributes the condition to people possessing brains regions with the size and shape of the opposite sex, instead of their biological sex. However, recent brain imaging studies don’t support that theory.
Stephen Gliske reviewed previous research and has developed a new multisense theory of gender dysphoria focused on function of brain regions, rather than only size and shape. He proposes gender dysphoria is caused by altered activity in three networks – the distress, social behavior, and body-ownership networks – affecting distress and one’s sense of their own gender. Previous studies support the premise that activity changes in these networks are associated with anatomical changes and feelings of gender dysphoria.
If supported by further research, this theory could offer ways to treat the distress of gender dysphoria patients without relying on invasive and irreversible gender reassignment surgery.

Discussion
In this study, we investigated three primary questions, and an additional exploratory question using five different, large-scale datasets. First, across all five datasets, transgender and gender-diverse individuals were 3.03 to 6.36 times as likely to be autistic than were cisgender individuals, after controlling for age and educational attainment. Second, transgender and gender-diverse individuals scored significantly higher on self-report measures of autistic traits, systemizing and sensory sensitivity and scored significantly lower on empathy traits compared to cisgender individuals. Third, in two datasets with available data, transgender and gender-diverse individuals had elevated rates of multiple other neurodevelopmental and psychiatric conditions. Finally, exploratory analysis identified that transgender and gender-diverse individuals were more likely to report that they suspected they had undiagnosed autism.
