Its peaceful. When things are stressful at work its night to go out and just be away from everything.

As for intruders, I have cell phone trail cameras set up on it. I know someone is there eleven seconds after they walk up to it. I get an alert and a pic on my phone.

As for an ambulance, we are a bit more self sufficient up here. We are never too far from help, but things always take 30 mins longer. I go on trips all the time where help is days away.

Life is never guaranteed. You take risks everyday. My life is more risky than most. Boats, snowmobiles, ATVs, guns, treestands, rough weather, lightening, always jumping thin ice and creeks. With experience, and constant risk assessment I have no issue with things most would find absurdly risky.

Wouldn't have it any other way.

I was thinking the other day how I would like to go.

I think it would legit be cool to be killed by a bear when I am 80 out hunting or something. Fall through the ice maybe.

Anything but wasting away being kept "comfortable" with drugs.

Would be fair.

There are very few rules that allow me to have the cabin on crown land, but one is that i cannot use it for any other commercial purpose.

So renting it out would result in me losing the trap line and having to remove the cabin, should I get caught.

I was thinking of starting a podcast, and thought the cabin would be a cool place to host it, but "commercial purpose" likely means that wouldnt fly.

In the real world architects work hand in hand with each other and both rely on each other for work/clients and so on, you can't have one without another. Are you a sperg engineering student by any chance? because IRL architects and engineers get along just fine without any dumbass rivalries since we have mutual benefitial relationships

The engineer for calling for a w350x3500 steel beam in a fukin doghouse, and an architect because they think pretty pictures translate into real life with 100 percent accuracy.


They must however work together to make something work, despite the contractors (me) general bitching and moaning.

Its the most complex we have ever attempted. Super modern with angles and lines, asymetric roof and walls, angles slightly off 90 degrees, super low slope roofs.

Four buildings going up at once, ten miles out by boat built on the edge of one of the wide open great lakes.

Nice nice sounds like an interesting project. I can relate, I mostly do luxury villas too but In warmer tropical weather. Getting to and out of the sites is a pain in the ass, same with bringing in all the material and work force. Luckily we don't have to worry about the cold mainly mosquitoes and snakes.
