As an NPC judge, have to say that regionally this doesn't happen as much but yes on the national stage when girls are going for their pro card it definitely helps.

And I've had many friends whose placings suddenly dropped like a stone when they were propositioned by judges and then shot them down. One girl went from 2nd to 15th with the exact same package in shows two weeks apart because she said no when invited up to the head judges hotel room and told him off. And she never placed above tenth again.

For the guys, how are they going to pay for their gear? It's a six figure thing nowadays just to keep on your cycles at the pro level and there are tons of gay guys out there who muscle worship. You don't even have to have sex, you just flex while they jerk it. Women get money the same way. Or there's also guys who will pay muscular women to wrestle them and beat them up.

Dude, pro bodybuilders take 3-5 GRAMS of gear - a week. Which is a hell of a lot. Some up to 5-10 grams of test alone.

For reference injectable test is about $225 per gram in terms of cost when it's purchased legally. I have no idea how much it is on the black market.

Honestly its not worth it but on face value and I wouldnt tell anyone just starting out to pursue it.

But when you have been doing it for so long, or your personality just matches SO well with being a bodybuilder and having that goal to always chase and you thrive on extreme discipline, then yeah it can be a good thing.

But overall its expensive(not the oj)
its time consuming as hell
you have to sacrifice a lot of enjoyment like drinking, partying, just doing things on a whim, eating food you enjoy weekly, relationships, just chilling with friends, etc...
lots of time in pain or getting injuries every now and then
you dont get paid chit for 99% of people who do it
even people who become IFBB pros dont get notoriety a lot of the time
you spend years of work for 2 minutes of glory

2k-4k top end for oj a year, 4k being grams for more than half of the year every week
its when you get into the igf raising stuff that makes your hormones grow that gets expensive. Legal stuff is about $800-$2000 a month and GNC generic is about $200 a month.

Recreationally lifting to be fitter or look better doesn’t make them a bodybuilder.
