Lol most everybody in Spartanburg goes to Dorman HS.. And I've had them legit size me up and look at me like I was a fuking alien or something before. Finally the curiosity gets too much and they'd ask, "What year did you graduate?"

I'm like "graduate what?"

And she also has this really cool thing in her house called"High. Speed. Internet."It's SO cool because it comes into her house with the cable and she only has to pay one bill for both each month. And she apparently can go to youtube, click on a video and it automatically starts playing!

Her house is maybe ~950 square feet in a shiity neighborhood, and cost 3x as much as mine that's twice as big. But yeah... you've got bragging rights sis.

Lmao. Reminds me of the people with summer homes down here that are from Ohio and above. It's especially annoying when New Yorkers are down here trying to compare their ever so many food choices and fast paced lifestyles.

Also in VA beach. Live a mile from the oceanfront so it's pretty cool but I do miss the mountains back home in northeast TN.

My mom's side of my family lives in SC so we used to go there at least once a year and I always enjoyed it. Near Travelers Rest. My aunt owns a nice cabin style home on a small private pond/lake and it's like a dream home of mine lol.

I do hate how far I have to drive for good hiking living near the beach. False cape and first landing is cool but I like going to hike for privacy and to clear my mind and there's always a chit ton of people at all the parks here lol.

I'm okay with how long it takes to get to the mountains, because I never want to randomly go to the mountains after work. The beach, yes. But I've never had the urge to spend a few hours in the mountains at 7pm on a weekday, its normally something I plan to make a day of on the weekend. That being said, I'm on the water and I'm surprised at how rarely I go out to the beach. I thought I would do it every day when I got here. Nope. One issue that I didn't expect is the weather. Back in SC and Louisiana I never even owned a heavy coat. Here I had to go buy one because its a level of cold that I haven't experienced since leaving Michigan.

I think we all have a bit of a distaste for people who come to your neck of the woods and spend the entire time talking about where they are from and how much "better" it is.

I didn't give Spartanburg much of a chance when I had a choice between there and Greenville. The first night I was in Spartanburg I stayed at a hotel, and the lobby was locked and I had to speak to the guy thru bullet proof glass. Seemed odd at 11pm, but I was tired and got checked in. After I drove around a bit the next day, I didn't see things getting much better, so I chose Greenville to live and rarely went back to Spartanburg.

You can tell the natives because they stick together like fuking velcro. There are some nice people though, don't get me wrong.. they'll take you to The Beacon for lunch too. They love them some fuking Beacon! I never had greasier shiits in my entire life... And Sweet Tea that you could legit pour over pancakes lolol.

That said though I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't like to live up around Landrum.. The rolling hills and big horse pastures are awesome IMO.
