Misery loves company. Notice how happy people with kids never tell others to have kids. But for some reason the most miserable and angry parents always tell others that they should have kids.

Some parts of me wish I had a family by now like about 90% of my close friends. I feel like at that stage in my life where I don't have alot in common with them. They're kids are starting school and they're on 7+ years of marriage, and having couples nights with neighbors and coworkers.

I'm selfish with my time and think I'll prob always be that way. Babysitting my niece and nephews are enough so far

You should only have kids if you're making a really good wage for your area. Poor people really should not have kids yet do because they're so irresponsible.

The only advice people should understand is you can have kids even if you're poor (right now) as long as you get to a point where you should have kids (make a lot more money later). If you can never reach the financial goal of being able to actually support your potential family and struggle supporting yourself still - don't have kids. Are you retarded - why do you want stress, burdens, and emotional trauma when you aren't even 'making it' in your area? Irresponsible.

Do you really think poor people care or understand this? They are poor for a reason. They were born into poverty just like their parents, grandparents, etc. Lack of education and foresight are the prime reasons.

Not to mention it feels good to fukk and it is one of our prime biological urges. I am willing to bet the vast majority of pregnancies are unwanted.

If you have kids when you are in poverty you are just dooming them to the same chitty lifestyle that you had to endure. There is no way to catch up to people who were born into wealth. They attended the best schools, taught how to succeed by their already rich parents, have powerful connections, etc.

I used to want a kid but now I realize it was only because I was "supposed to" and because I would be like a failure if I didn't spread my genes. I don't think that anymore. I'm pretty sure there is a strong cope about parenthood nowadays where it's supposed to be this amazing experience and the meaning of life, but I think it was mostly never seen like this before modern times. People didn't have reliable contraception and just wanted to ****, kids were a consequence and that's it. Also in the agragian societies having a kid is an investment for the future, nowadays it's a pure money pit so people have to double down on the existential meaning of child raising in order to justify it to themselves and others. A consequence of that is that parents who don't feel so elated about raising their children feel like there is something wrong with them, even though it's not the case.

I didnt have kids until I was 36. Most "people" assume something is wrong if you dont have a wife and kids by 30. Fuk them, having kids sucks and you better be REALLY sure about who you have them with.

This is really only the case if you live in the suburbs or in a rural area. It's not really weird at all to be single and childless in a city.

I dont hate my mum but I have a chip on my shoulder - she got pregnant (with another dude I never met) while in the middle of a divorce with my dad, just completely irresponsible and selfish behavior.

my dad tried to mould me from birth to be some thing im not, a little corporate suck ass - still tries to control my life for some strange reason, calls me and tells me I need to do this and that, I feel sick when I have to see him, always has something negative to say to me.

Yes that's true, I shouldn't even ask that on a public forum. I've read of several accounts of parents on the internet who said they would painlessly "ctrl Z" their kids out of existence if they could though, so even if it's taboo it does seem to exist.

I have kids and wife and enjoy it. I will never tell someone else to have kids. In fact I will discourage people I don't like from having kids and spreading their stupidity. Only married couples should have kids. These bastards (40% of births in US are to unwed parents), and children of married couples who will get divorced, are going to have huge negative consequences on society. The only positive from the LGBT lifestyle, other than aids, is they don't have children.

Also more kids = more competition for my kids in the future for jobs, scholarships, etc.

I enjoy it and plan to have more kids. If you want them then have them, if not then don't.
