Miss having a 6spd. I think the only sports car I would buy a auto in is the 5.0 since their manuals are trash.
Anything else I dismiss the moment I see an auto.

Don't care if your auto is faster, driving a manual is fun.

Manual Crew checking in.

My daily is MT too. Just rowing through those gears...

I've always kept a garage queen and a grocery getter...

I had a little C class and an acura TL as grocery getters in the past.. it just got boring pretty quickly. I was super happy to go back to MT and haven't looked back since.

You're too European to understand.

We dont even need to drive a manual for our drivers test. Manuals are so uncommon in the US you can live your entire life never stepping foot in a manual car.

Most car manufacturers have realized this and simply stopped selling manual variants of cars in the US that may be available in Canada or Europe.

Can confirm- manual master race checking in. Had a 5 speed Evo x, 6 speed 2017 335I, 6 speed 2018 340i, and 6 speed 2019 M3.

Can also help you get steals from dealerships. People don't drive manuals much anymore so when I went to BMW the first time around, they were willing to accept any offer I proposed to get a 6 speed off the lot.

There is a massive difference driving a manual sports car through windy canyon roads and NYC. Miami or Chicago city traffic.

I'm in San Diego and close to the coast, so I know a thing or two about driving a manual in stop and go traffic on a hill. All you have to do is give plenty of room to the car in front of you, and if there's an idiot riding your ass, roll back just a tad longer than usual to scare the chit out of them into backing off.

Works all the time. BTW I have "hill assist" but I like the roll so I don't turn it on much.

I see no reason to get a manual over a dct

The “fun” of a manual is hugely overhyped.

dude, if you're in southern california like I am and your car gets stolen... you're not going to find it in a ditch a week later in the next town over, its gone FOREVER. the vast majority of the time, (ESPECIALLY if its a Jeep) If your car is stolen its already been driven into mexico and either scrapped for parts or given to some cartel grunt for drug runs.

I would much rather have them break a window and rummage around (I don't keep valuables in my car) than to wake up one morning and my entire car is gone.

Really? My manual Civic Sport was impossible to find. They usually only have 1 on the lot but it flies out the door as soon as it becomes available. Every stealership that had them in stock were special ordered from a customer and not for sale. I found my car in Colorado and they shipped it to me.
