lost so much gains trying to rehab this, but realized a few things.. its highlighting underlying motor pattern and pathology issues which may be caused by postural issues or weak core..
after addressing the issues i have noticed a lot of newer muscle development in my entire upper body; as someone who always had issues benching I can literally see a more direct correlation between the OHP and proper shoulder pressing (not utilizing traps or lowerback extensively) with the bench press. It also made saving my rotator cuffs much easier.
Another thing to look at is lateral pelvic tilt or even tight psoas/QL... if your goal is to be a chad the neck gains, jaw gains and even trap gains will literally be lost if you dont address this; and before i ramble on remember, your athletic functionality will also be affected due to bad motor patterns.
good luck man.
