i feel bad for the noobs who bought at the top and finally panic sold or got liquidated this morning

non-noobs who've been in the market since pre-2017 will probably raise an eyebrow and be like...meh

you don't get an average annual return of 200% for 12 straight years without volatility like this

You going to report your staking rewards on your taxes? That's one of the reasons I still haven't staked any of mine yet, not sure if I want that added headache. Wouldn't be as bad if there wasn't also locality taxes where I live.

People thought bitcoin was over when it went from 20k and crashed down to 3k. Then look what happened.

Crypto has no value other than what people think it is.

It's just speculative gambling. As long as people continue to think its worth something, it is.

Doesn't matter if it's worthless. From a logical point of view, diamonds are worthless too yet they cost a fortune. In the end you can make a lot of money or even become a millionaire with cryptos if lucky.

The industry hasn't matured yet - it's largely garbage - but blockchain technology (crypto) does have utility/value.

Currently it's like the Dot Com Bubble. People putting up half baked sites and services, and people throwing money into it to make money. It took a while for internet businesses as a market/industry to mature, and now today it's literally changed society and is used in almost every facet of life.

As long as the money printing continues though, people will throw money into something. The rich don't want to keep all their money in savings account, or a C.D which offers 0.07%.

Diamonds are not expensive at all, in fact most diamonds produced only have use in industry through cutting, grinding, drilling, etc..

Diamonds as jewelry are highly monopolized to reinforce scarcity and perception of value, in addition to the tedious labor required to produce the final diamond.

Crypto has zero industry applications.

Crypto has zero scarcity as hundreds of alt coins constantly pop up and die every month.

Crypto mining is not centralized to a single entity to constrict supply.

The only reason crypto has value is because people think it does. Go ahead. Try your luck in the ponzi. Maybe you’ll be able to sell in time at the top... or maybe not...

Do you know that Crypto is just an alternative way of saying a blockchain technology application or blockchain technology?

The industry has not matured yet, but when it comes to supply chain monitoring, gaming, the financial industry, livestreaming, video hosting, the fashion industry, etc, crypto does have applications either being used or are in development.

Lol, same thing every time. I bought 60 s19s when btc was at 8k, sold as I mined and mined 9 btc over a year, now I'm short btc. I'll wait until until btc is "dead" and do the same, the cycle repeats and my mine is still doing great.

Crypto (short for crypto-CURRENCY) is not blockchain lmao

Blockchain is just a software design pattern that can be integrated into any existing system.

Crypto is an implementation of blockchain that attempts to replace fiat, while solving none of the problems inherent to fiat and simultaneously creating multiple problems associated with unregulated, digital currencies.

None of that matters though. The point is, people can make a ton of money if they buy and sell and the right time. Who cares if it's actually worthless?

If you believe that Crypto refers to cryptocurrencies only, then by your reasoning if someone has a portfolio of crypto tokens (which are not cryptocurrencies); UNI, SUSHI, AAVE, COMP, CAKE and 1INCH then they don't own any crypto according to you, because they aren't cryptocurrencies.

Just listen to people when they talk about Crypto, they aren't strictly talking about cryptocurrencies. IME that's only what people who aren't active in crypto believe, they think Crypto = Bitcoin, or alternatives to Bitcoin.

How did I go from considering people who can’t sell in time from your point that people should sell at the right time?
That’s my point you fking smoothbrain. It’s impossible to time a ponzi collapse. “Just sell bro” is stupid advice if you have enough capital to move the market, your exchange crashed, or you simply just weren’t watching the charts every 5 minutes 24/7.

I wonder how much momentum crypto can maintain once everybody is forced back to work and no longer getting 100+% wage replacement to play video games all day.

It's one thing to throw free money into a moonshot; it's another when you have to wake-up at 6am and be a wage-cel to make ends meet and then put your hard-earned $15/hr into the same moonshot.

Incorrect. You are of the belief that Bitcoin occupies a unique niche and cannot be replaced. The reality is that the code is open source and anyone is free to clone it and improve it.

That’s my point you fking smoothbrain. It’s impossible to time a ponzi collapse. [/img]
Yes it's impossible to predict the future, no fukking chit. It doesn't matter if crypto is worthless. The point is: if you happen to buy and sell at the right time, whether through luck or good judgement etc, then you can/could've made a ton of money.
So you can keep calling it a Ponzi scheme all you want, but all that is completely irrelevant.

From a financial point of view: what does it matter whether you make a million investing in amazon stocks in 1990 till now, or whether you make a million in 2 years investing in dogecoin? I'll tell you: there is no difference. Money is Money.

Most of you people are idiots, BTC went from 4k-65k. If you can't capitalize on that and make money you must be retarded. If course its going to correct when BTC has had a 1500% run up.
