I ain't no expert, but I would reason that this tactic is kind of over the top and dangerous to the public.
Seems like something out of an action movie, like shooting your gun when you don't need to, or even shooting to kill when you don't need to.
The first instinct is to pass blame somewhere and move on, but step back a minute and look at the big picture.
Doesn't this seem just a bit excessive for speeding? It's more dangerous than speeding itself.
At worst it's straight up murder for a traffic violation, and a lot of those are given out to make $$$ for the cops.
I think the point here is to think about the law itself and not who is at fault.

She should be tried and convicted for evading arrest, disobeying orders, reckless driving and anything else that is applicable

I have cop friends an go on ride-alongs with them on occasion. But this cop is a PHUCKING IDIOT. State troopers/police are the absolute worst. 99% of their job is giving people speeding tickets. My cop buddies NEVER give people traffic tickets because they all think it's a ****ty thing to do.
Like how in the actual phuck is a lady slightly speeding, then slowing down to 10mph under the speed limit, more dangerous than doing a god damn pit maneuver on a car (who isn't even doing anything dangerous) in the middle of a freeway? That stupid ass cop put far more lives in serious danger than that poor woman. She put zero lives in danger and he almost killed her and her baby. I hope she sues the PD and that dumb cop gets fired. Anyone who thinks that cop's actions were acceptable can fist themselves.

You have no idea who is in a vehicle or what they might be doing, she could be stalling while swallowing bags of heroin or trying to hide weapons or something

I'm not concerned about the cops fishing expedition for other potential tag on crimes. He has no evidence of any of those things, and not pulling over in an unsafe environment is not evidence of those things.

Must have thought he was in an 80s cop movie or something, cot damn what a douchebag
Way excessive: clearly she acknowledged him with the flashers and wasn't accelerating / trying to get away. She could have easily been killed in the wreck, nevermind if another car was flying up that lane and smashed her car.
What the hell was he trying to gain from that? I would have been so pissed if that was me / my girl / family etc

"Every Tuesday, the Arkansas State Police explain an Arkansas law.
On Tuesday, ASP explained what fleeing is and what to do if you are not comfortable in the location you are getting pulled over at or if you don’t believe it is a real cop pulling you over.
Police explained that if you see blue lights and aren’t comfortable pulling over, you need to follow these instructions:
First, police said if you are not comfortable pulling over in that location or are not sure it is an actual officer, immediately slow down and turn on your hazard lights. Police said that will let the officer know you see them. Next, police said to move to the farthest right lane and continue to drive to a location where you feel same. Police said under a street light, a gas station, and exit ramp or side road are examples of where to stop. Police said if you think the vehicle pulling you over is not a real police officer, call 911.
Arkansas State Police said if these instructions are followed, you will not be charged with fleeing."
1. Did she slow down? Yes
2. Did she Pull to the furthest right lane? Yes
3. Did she put on her hazard lights? Yes
She did her due diligence as a citizen in Arkansas educating herself on what is, and isn't acceptable in this particular encounter.

Trooper's a menace who wanted a reason to murder somebody for kicks. A court should have animal control euthanize him like an unwanted pitbull. Firing him and barring him from further law enforcement work is the compromise position.
It's also completely obvious from the trooper's tone and demeanor that he neither regarded the driver as any kind of a threat nor gave a chit about what he'd just done. Fukk that guy.
Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.

Tax payers will be footing the bill once again for this lawsuit.
Just lol at performing a pit maneuver on an SUV and not knowing what was going to happen. And a pregnant woman to boot. That cop would have a serious problem if they performed this on my pregnant wife.

It appears that the woman gained distance on the vehicle in front of her, so I guess she just kept right on speeding with her blinker on.
Slowing down well below the speed limit would be a good call, but the state is going to be buying her a new car.

Maybe it seems like slowing down because she was going so fast
On that note it feels a bit weird that we're harping on about the safety of pulling over on that highway but cruising along at 135 kilometers per hour with a bun in the oven is a-ok
Just playing devil's advocate here
