Shame there's always people immediately looking to absolve the cop from any wrong doing by thinking about hypothetical scenarios where a miniscule bodily movement constitutes reaching for a weapon or how the criminal deserved it. Disgusting. Even if the suspect was suspected of murder, the cop would not have been justified in his actions. A policeman does not dish out punishment, we are not in barbaric middle ages or Afghanistan with mob justice.

Never mind the fact that police should be held to the highest standards of whole society, they are the ones that enforce the law.

when you de-fang your enforcers they become the out of shape baton wielding witches hats you see in europe.

This is the doom loop for cops:
1. public complains about bad treatment
2. police lose some privileges and are forced to behave in some restrained way (lesser weapons, cameras, rules of engagement etc)
3. eventually public become accustomed to their pacified ways and bad treatment previously considered normal is now viewed with disgust.
4. police lose further privileges

Repeat steps 1-4 until you have your female UK/Euro policeforce that are too afraid and don't have the ability to arrest a single male suspect like you see in those gifs. Your society breaksdown and your ability to govern is greatly diminished.

Relatively free societies only work when you have people that can effectively enforce consensus law. Lol at the cuck that made the 'muh liberty' argument.

Kek. Remind me again which society has a very "tough" police force and the greatest percentage of its people incarcerated in the world? Not to mention the fact that the USA ranks poorly compared to its developed nation peers in a spectrum of indices concerning civil liberties or indices ranking happiness. You guys have guns, which I envy, but that's about the only freedom you have that other countries don't.

I would also like to hear you explain how cameras forces police to behave in restrained ways. Let's consider two scenarios where body cameras are present:

1. The police is doing its job correctly
2. The police is not doing its job correctly

In the first scenario, the camera shows evidence of the cop doing his job correctly, nothing wrong here. It even helps if the cop is wrongly accused of misconduct, it will help prove that no misconduct was carried out.
In the second scenario, the camera will capture evidence of the cop not doing his job correctly. If the cop is not doing his job correctly, measures will have to be taken to correct this behaviour. The camera provides evidence of wrong doing so the cop can be corrected or fired or even jailed if the misconduct is severe.

The only way in which no cameras are a good thing is if you believe that cops should be able to act in unlawful ways. How can people be trusted to enforce consensus law when they break the law themselves?


And I think it's very funny you mention out of shape policemen when many USA cops are whale sized and can barely run for 2 minutes. There is an annual fitness test for cops in the Netherlands that's quite strict, our police officers are consequently in pretty good shape.

This is actually true . They found people with high IQ’s often left the force .
They have the same issues at our local mines , if you score too high you don’t get hired

He’s on paid administrative leave and still has his job currently. I’m assuming they’re abiding by the union negotiated contract. I fully expect this guy to be fired after reading what happened even though the suspect was an absolute moron.

Kinda sorta as in yes? Literally what more can you ask for? This is being worked out, dude will likely be fired, er go, he'll just be another typical loser.

With the way you worded your response that's like saying "well the murderer was caught on camera so I guess the system is working". He got caught, he'll likely be fired. That is all you can ask. You're still working when you're on paid leave. So many of you believe that these guys are just on vacation chilling, collecting a paycheck during all of this.
