Then maybe Titanfall 2.
GF and kid are heading to visit her family for a week. I downloaded the Witcher 3 for what is probably the 4th time. I have yet to make it past that ghost/witch by the well before losing interest but people I trust swear it’s great and usually I love those types of games.

You can also say fuk it and do straight up dungeon grinding.
That said, you do get to choose a waifu. Choose correctly.

this topic isn't searching for the best game per se and when it comes to craftsmanship DKC TF can't be denied

Rocket league
Nearly perfectly balanced, can run on a potato, fun at any level of skill, very easy to learn but very hard to master. Cost $20 when it launched (was free on Playstation I think too).
It was such a simple yet almost perfectly made game.

Know what you're talking about, first time I fired it up after everyone praised it I dropped it maybe 2 hours in. Picked it up again a month or so later to give it another try, made it through to Velen and the Red Baron and yeah, it is the best thing since sliced bread.

Imo it's top tier turn based combat.
