ready as practically possible I suppose in that I have checked my plungers for integrity issues and my toilets have all been freshly serviced and the drains have been given a fresh layer of vasoline I mean call me crazy but I tend to prepare and what with the HTC fraction of my family too much is probably too little in that aunt gertrude is pretty much guaranteed to take extra dessert after three helpings of roast and once that is down her gullet she will slowly make her way to the restroom to fart out a three and a half foot chocolate zucchini that will leave the entire front half of the house unvisitable for several hours aside from my inevitable expedition to investigate and discover the horrible clogging situation that will require me to plunger aggressively for several hours with my clever SLEIGHER novelty Christmas sweater pulled up over my nose and so yeah prepared I suppose thanks for asking and best to you during this joyous holiday

Mother and father said it's a "no gifts xmas" so that made it easy. Both bros are married and just bought houses so they didn't want them to spend money on everyone. Doesn't feel like xmas but then again, no holiday feels the same as it did when younger. Just another day SRS. Will be spending time with family though

We went pretty basic for individual presents this year. Instead, we're doing a projector in the basement as a family gift. I'm painting a screen on the wall intead of a traditional movie screen. I figured it would be less likely to get damaged by kids and easier to repair. It's been a lot of prep work to get a smooth flat surface, but I think I'm going to finish the project on Christmas eve. We wired for sound when we built the house and I have been installing surround sound speakers, too.
For food we always do a ribeye roast, oven browned potatoes, and yorkshire pudding. My mother-in-law is coming for a few weeks and we'll also have my parents and brother for Christmas day, so my wife and I will be cooking for 11, but we'll have lots of help.

Tented off the area for sanding. Also finished with the primer coats. Tomorrow morning I will be spraying the final coats of paint - supposedly spraying gives a smoother finish. The screen will be about 150" on the diagonal. Most of the speakers are in and set up, I just have two left to put in the ceiling that I can't do until the plastic is out of the way.

Christmas eve here, so today is the day of cooking and preparing stuff.
Thankfully I'm not hosting, so I only have to make salads and dress up a Pavlova for dessert then take it to my brothers place.
Its guaranteed to be a better Christmas than last year, am really looking forward to having all the family together.
Hope you have a lovely Christmas Kimm

How are you doing, Kimm? You excited about Christmas?
I'm doing a little bikepacking trip the 24-25 and then seeing family later in the week. I feel like my soul and heart need alone time in the cold. (I'm fine!
Just giving my body and heart what it needs right now) I baked an apple pie for the festivities after Christmas and I've been asked to contribute a cheeseball which is my favorite thing in the world!
Merry Miscmas, you guys! <3
