I started to sour on cops during the covid lockdowns with many departments gleefully enforcing Draconian lockdowns.



This thing in Texas, though, I've got from souring to outright distrust, dislike and scorn.

Seeing those cowards, more than ever it reinforces how we all need to be armed and be trained to properly use them. These cops are not there for us, they are there for their bosses and the establishment.

A few of my friends are cops and they're the good ones: others? Don't care for. Never have.

Never forgot a time a friend of mine was cutting lawns and was on his last house in the heat, accidentally left the keys in his truck and his dog was inside the truck.

Called a non emergency number to help out and the cop was such a genuine piece of chit a friends dad wanted his badge number as he worked for the city.

He screamed my buddy is wasting his time, said he can't help him, then wrote him a ticket for having tints (my buddy had had a permit for the tints and it was overturned).

Chit was pathetic.

Not gonna be anti police because one department sucks. It's a catch 22 with police because if you want better applicants, you need to pay them more. But how do you pay them more when everyone wants to defund the police? You need to fund the police but better allocate the funds. Good luck doing that in America in 2022

Can you name one active school shooter scenario where the cops acted appropriately?

It really speaks volumes to how dangerous AR15s and assault style weapons can be. A kid who just turned 18 got 1 and he put enough fear into the police department to stay away for nearly an hour.

I don't care if people support me or not. I deal with the dumbest people of society on a daily basis and clean up societies messes for 8 hours a day. I'm literally a janitor, a babysitter for adults and "customer service" for all of life's issues.

The public demands, on a daily basis, that I do things that violate the rights of others because it would help them achieve something..those same people then call for me to be arrested if I violate their rights. I've been called to houses where a neighbor is upset that another neighbors trash blew into their lawn and they DEMAND I arrest the neighbor. I don't, so the caller ends up calling and filing a complaint because I didn't help them. I have responded to calls at the beach where someone is upset another person is taking pictures, so they DEMAND that I arrest that person for disorderly conduct for upsetting them. I don't, so they complain.

I respond to an accident where a guy is hammered drunk and crashed into 3 cars. I arrest him for DUI and he starts screaming I'm arresting him because he's black. The black neighbors hear this and come outside and all start screaming "youuuu only be arresting him cuz he black!" As the stumbling handcuffed black man is pissing himself as I put him in the backseat of my car as he calls me a racist.

Do I give a **** about any of that? Not at all.

I get paid 6 figures a year, get a ton of time off, a golden retirement plan and benefits. And the anti police narrative the left is forcing onto everyone has honestly only made my job easier. People don't expect anything out of us anymore. As long as they keep paying me, I'll keep showing up.

Edit: if there was ever a school shooting at an elementary school, I believe I'd go in. Based on my experience with society, kids are the only thing really worth saving or dying for. Adults? I mean the majority suck, so no.
