Not sure how majestic you wanted it to be, he was killing something that he wasn't looking for. Also, there is no way to kill a tied up animal and make it look cool.

What stands out each episode with House of the Dragon is that the production quality and cinematography just[i]looks[/i]rich and professional quality, whereas RoP and just about every other "big" production from Amazon, Netflix, and Disney all look like they're smeared in this CGI vaseline. Like when you see something in HotD, it generally looks real, but even a real shot from a multi-million dollar money sink like Rings still looks "fake," if that makes any sense.

Anyway, Rhae's growing on me as well, so it's kind of a shame she's going to be replaced. The actress actually did the impossible and made me not wretch hearing "drakaris" again, and all of the actors did a good job with the Valerian.

Like you said, no real slam dunk characters describes it well, but at least there is room for them to grow here.

Most characters just seem flawed, but no one is being made into a yass kween/kang Mary/Gary Sue or being turned into a wet blanket for the writers' own hubris. The king is weak, but that's kind of the point I suppose, and while his writing/directing is kind of lacking for the first two episodes, I think his acting really helps tie the role together by the third episode.

It starts out really slow and a bit muddled, and I think the best way I've heard it is that they should have came out the gates with the first two episodes, but I'm getting into it more with the third episode.

As an odd quibble, they really missed the mark choosing not to have any opening credits/theme with the first episode (so there isn't anything wrong with a bad torrent[img]//assets.bodybuilding.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif[/img]), because it really[i]does[/i]set the mood when you're in the second and now third episode. I would have gone with at least a modified motif instead of a 1:1 reuse of the old theme. Likewise, the opening 3D animation really could have been more dynamic, especially with how this series moves faster with each episode, and a truly effective one could have helped make the first episode not feel like you're being plopped right in the middle of an ongoing show. So bear that in mind as well, because I couldn't shake the feeling that the beginning seemed as though it was an episode in between episodes.

The metaphor continuing on to actually show the white stag elsewhere was pretty on the nose, but at least they had the restraint to no't have Rhaenyra reach out and touch it or something, or you'd get a nosebleed.

Rhaenyra's is a 10. Thought she was a 6 at best initially, but the actress has done a really good job, and there's something real unique about her looks. Alicent started as a 10, but she's like a 5 now in comparison with waifu princess. I did however think that Daemon 1v30ing the crab king's pirates was really, really stupid. Only low point of the show so far tbh.

RoP sucks compared to this.

Thought I was on reddit during the whorehouse scene with Daemon giving a speech how its okay to fuq whatever. Took out the immersion completely. Strong LGBT advocacy.

Just fuking LOL at how long that scene was to the end of the knight-Rhae scene. Ended up skipping through. Thought they were trolling for a second. Will be skipping this show now. Not good enough in other areas.

Everything doesn’t have to be an advocacy for wokeness. If a girl is around girls for 97% of her life its not out of the possibility that she could fall in love/like one of them.
