I finally started to respect Volk after the third Max fight, but it still pisses me off that a manlet can be this good at MMA lol

But damn, he is getting better and better. Feel like he’s on some undetectable PED lol.

Agreed. Unfortunately we're blessed with some chit cards in the meantime. I usually love under-the-radar FNs but the next one is absolute dog chite and I couldn't care less about any of the fights there. Probably one of only 4-5 cards I've purposely skipped, DLed and scrolled through since 2007.

The one after that is a perfect example of a seemingly regular FN where there are so many bangers worth watching including:

I still can't believe Dricus did that. I was so wrong lmao. His style makes him look awful and unathletic/uncoordinated but you can't do that to Whittaker unless you're legit. Dricus beating Izzy would be better than when Holly headkicked Ronda.

Turner is still much better than Hooker. He obviously just had a terrible cut and his body shut down at the end of round 2.

Pantoja talking about his dad was pretty sad.

Volk is the 145 GOAT.

Robbie got the ending he deserves.

Overall, great event.

Bo Nickal really needs to fight someone his own size. I get why Dana is bringing him along slow. He's the type of talent that UFC rarely gets, but he's new to MMA, so there will be a learning curve. But do we need to see a 3rd fight where he just insta-starches some dude he's massively favored against?

I actually missed the Adensanya Conor-mode shtick while taking a piss. If Adensanya wants to fight Du Plessis, I'm down for it. Dricus belongs.

The Moreno fight was fukking WAR. Ho lee fuk. I don't know how you call a winner for that one, honestly, but it was just 5 rounds of brawling.

Watching the Volk power bomb justified my cover charge alone. Dude went phucking Super Saiyan to close out that fight. He's normally such a calm, in control type of fighter, but he unleashed some serious manlet rage there.

Such a great card with fantastic story lines.

So stoked to see Robbie go out like the classy champ he is, instead of getting wrecked like so many other guys in their final fights. True legend.

Knew nothing about Pantoja before the bout, but came out a big fan. Gutsy win after looking spent in Rd 2. That stuff about his dad was HEAVY, and he appears to be a really good dude. Brandon looked soft physically compared to how he looked about Davison. Great fight between the two of them, and agreed with 48-47 Pantoja.

Also good to see Bo tone it down some of the proclamations compared to when he first started, and especially with the win with not some crazy call out and focusing on him having a kid on the way. Great job. He is definitely ready for a jump in competition. Would like to see him vs. a top 15-20 guy, no need to rush him Pereira style (even tho I think he could easily handle it).

Volk is just too damn good. Nothing left for him at 145, and TONS of great fights for him at 155. If he stays at 145, the only mildly interesting thing for me there would be if Aljo beats O'Malley in August, and Aljo wants to come up to 145 like he's talked about. Volk vs. Tuporia doesnt interest me much.

Great fight with Hooker and Turner. Hooker looked awful in R1, and seemed to have a hard time with Turner's size/length, which was weird to me since he trains so much with Izzy. Turner wilts if he cant be a bully, and Hooker (who I normally am not the biggest fan of) really impressed me with how he turned it into a dog fight. Hooker ate his shots throughout, fought with way more heart, and did all that with a broken arm. Great stuff.

I too was way wrong on Dricus. He seems so awkward, clumsy, off balance all the time, and didn’t think Rob would have any issues at all. Dude appears to hit like a truck tho, is massive / strong, and good downhill fighter. UFC really struck gold with him and Izzy’s prior beef. Could have done without Izzy’s typical cringe show, but is good to see a clear challenger.

I really enjoy Strickland on social media, but I had to turn off his Rogan interview half way through. Was a bit too dark and unfunny to me, but not in a traditional gallows humor way, in a way that was making me feel bad and sorry for him.

Same I was dumb founded watching that happen. Felt so bad for Rob. Dude might be my fav fighter on the roster.

I hope DDP slams Izzy's stupid little head onto the mat and bounces elbows off him.
