Do you think there is any correct age to become a father, or is there an age where it's too late to become one? I'm early 30s and worrying I don't have all the time in the world left. Want to get on that fatherhood time eventually.

If there is such a thing as the "correct age", it'd require:

1. That you met the right woman; and
2. Your financial situation is at least reasonably secure.

Some guys go through many women until they meet the right one. Some never meet the right one. So it's hard to say that there's a perfect age to become a father, imo, since it is about more than the age.

Wife told me earlier she'd consider having another one. Took me by surprise to be honest since I thought we were only going for the one. And if you read the thread, USD 2.1m per kid (NYC). So it's a bit of a nut if you want to raise them in the "best" way - private schools / social circles etc.

OP, you have all the firsts to go and some of them will blow your mind nearly as much as they blow hers.

I remember her seeing snow for the first time. We have floor to ceiling windows in part of the house and the rooms look over fields and trees, so she was used to seeing green and brown everywhere. When she was 18 months old, she came downstairs and everything was white. She pressed her face up against the glass and looked for a few seconds and then turned and looked at me with the clearest "wtf" expression I had even seen.

Just tell yourself that two will be easier than one because they can entertain each other. It's sort of true, at least when they're not fighting.

In all honesty, I think it's good for kids to have a sibling. As a parent, it's easy to indulge your kids and give them what they want. That's not bad but having a sibling that wants different things forces them to learn to get along with peers.

Grats, do the happy dance.She didn't really know what to make of it. She likes the rain, as she likes wearing her boots and thinks jumping in puddles is highly amusing, but snow was more meh.

She kept pushing down on it with her feet to squash it. When my wife and I made a snowman, my daughter kept picking up little bits of snow and adding it to the pile in a "monkey see, monkey do" fashion.

This winter she will be 2 1/2 instead of 1 1/2, with a lot more to say and a lot more understanding of what is going on. We will try snow take 2 and see how it goes.

Thanks! Second one that is born alive, now I have a little daughter and little boy. We're good for now with two.

Not sure if they are still a thing but I grew up in a nice area where we had neighborhood snowball fights.

We even built snow forts on our front lawns and would ping people as they walked by, lol.

Snow is great for kids. Less so in a 3 piece suit.
