We are already in debt

The govt is inefficient and wastes money (private also wastes money but nowhere near as much as the govt)

We would be paying even more taxes to take care of illegals

People would have even more of an incentive to be lazy and make poor health choices if healthcare were "free"

We would be paying for every lunatics gender surgery (no thanks jeff)

We have too large a population with not enough tax payers

I imagine most people who are against it want to stick it to the poor/lazy who may abuse the system. They don’t put much thought into the fact that the poor already have free healthcare, and this would be helping tax payers get something back for what they point in. Let’s not get into the savings of cutting out middlemen.

you either get ripped off by the government or by the insurance companies. Your choice.
IMO the health care system in this country is outrageous.

I don't necessarily think government insurance can fix it but regulation of insurance companies could help.

I’m a physician and American health system is bastardized. There are so many middle men just skimming profits for doing literally nothing. And it’s approved by the government. It’s amazing what lobbyists can get politicians/regulators to approve by paying them off.

E.g…. I’m in Ortho. There are so many bogus braces and products that get approved by Medicare for ridiculous prices. It’s insane. There is no evidence they do anything, and these companies will charge 1000s of dollars for these braces that probably cost $10 to produce. No one know how much they cost, patients certainly don’t care and demand that you give them one because “Medicare covers it”. It’s amazing.

This is just one example, I can give you so many examples, it’s disgusting honestly. There are so many entities providing little to no service/benefits, but are raking in huge profits.

Also, universal healthcare is just a cliche for the leftists. They too are bought and paid for by the healthcare lobbyists. Even in democrat super majority, how come there’s never a bill brought to the floor for debate for Medicare for all? Because they know that if they did bring it, they’ll have to vote on it. And they don’t wanna vote for it because it’ll be a career suicide. Universal healthcare is actually very popular, majority of Americans support it according to the polls.

Only low IQ people complain about American healthcare. Any healthcare worker will tell you, when we have to bend over backwards to keep the 85 year old, vented, post cardiac arrest, brain dead vegetable alive for $10,000 a day until he dies ~3 weeks later, universal healthcare is impossible.

Now if we want to start doing what all of these "good" healthcare countries do, and pull the plug, while you beg us on your knees, in tears, not to - then we might have something. Sadly that will never happen because of Leftys.
