I agree with what you are saying and you are correct on most points. The two party system is an illusion of choice, these politicians you are voting for are put forward by the special interest and it's a lose/lose situation either way. It doesn't matter who you vote for, the outcome will be the same. Decent candidates are silenced and will never win anything, it is pretty clear. I am sure we don't have to go too deep into it as I am sure you understand how corrupt these people are and who actually makes the decisions behind the closed doors.

But you as citizens have to take accountability as well, maybe not you but your countrymen. Change doesn't happen overnight. Over time, special interest bought politicians and the media, forcing a slow and gradual change of laws to benefit themselves to the point where they own everyone and there's hardly a way of changing anything anymore. These politicians were still voted for back in the day, they were put in the office by the people and if the majority of your country are not intelligent enough to do their homework or realise what type of laws they are passing then like I said, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Just think of war in Iraq, millions died and everyone realised shortly after that it was based on a lie. You'd think a normal, functioning human being would not fall for it again and look at your foreign policy after Iraq war. War after war, coup after coup.
