Its crazy that you think just showing up to a 4 year uni makes you worth something lol. The minimal requirement is hunting and killing and eating what you kill. Whether thats sales, finance, back office, front office, etc - the ingredieint you are missing is effort and willpower. You can make 300k in fukking construction if you just show tf up and work. If you jerk of all day on the misc and never go to the office then yea, youre going to be stuck in a shyt job your whole life.

Fun fact - in this "debt economy" you can make 100k on day 1 as a laborer in construction. A fukking no skill laborer. And you still have fat fuk idiots like you complaining on the internet about it lol

The problem with your post is that you're ignoring how society constantly repeats "Go to college." to every Elementary, Middle schooler and Highschooler. Parents said this, boomers said this, politicians said this. So why shouldn't college guarantee a comfortable life for average people? That was very well the case 20 - 30 years ago which is why so older folks keep repeating that same sentiment. The older generation hasn't realized the game has changed.

And no, a go getter mentality shouldn't be required to live comfortable. Not everyone has that mentality. Go to college, get decent grades, network some, find a good company and do all the work to satisfactory. that should all be enough for a comfortable average life.

Go getters mentality should be reserved for those who want to be upper middle class.

That is not how life works lol this is a personal journey, you must listen to yourself and take responsibility for your own decisions.

I'm sure my posts in this thread seem harsh but it is unadulterated truth.

Just tryin to help.

It should since there is a guarantee of uncomfortability with birth.

Comfortable is not the standard human state lol.

You have to fight for that sht.

Did you read my post? Kids and Teenagers don't know anything about 'personal journey'. The only thing they understand is what their Teachers, parents, and coaches tell them. And that's to go to college because you get the American dream of a house and white picket fence. What the adults don't realize is that has since changed and became harder to obtain. You can't be average anymore, you need that go getter mindset.

Not every kid or teenage will be some leader who can make their own decision.

The go getter mentality hasn't been needed for prior generations the past 20 - 30 years. Now it's needed because a degree by itself is no longer enough. You can't be average like someone living in the 80s with a bachelor's degree.

I did.

That is a personal problem.

People should think critically. My parents told me to get a job and I told them no. You can be whatever you want.

It wasn't needed before because of WW2 lol after that America was far and away the richest economy which meant that even our poor had houses but now China has taken $20,000,000,000,000 worth of annual GDP and Americans feel poor.

Rich people have all the money, if you tax them then they stop spending, if they stop spending then Americans lose jobs lol.

If you don't tax the rich then you force them to deploy their free cash to produce free cash flow, they collect most of it but not all of it, some goes to regular Americans through the jobs provided by expanded business lol taxing the rich hurts the poor.

I apologize if I mischaracterized you.

We aren't talking 1943 though. We're talking about about 1980 - 2000.

Yeah and America was still dominating, China's GDP back then was $300 billion while America was at $3 trillion, 10x the GDP of China.

If we had 10x China's GDP right now then our economy would be worth ~$200,000,000,000,000 annually.

China is making you poor, China is making you rent and China is telling American CEOs what to do.

I rarely want to take this side but I have people down the street from me paying $1k/month more than me in half the house simply because they didn't have the same opportunity at the same time as I did.

Rates now can determine if you want to live in a significantly lesser quality environment.

Plenty of people want to start a family and buy a house are either barred from doing do or will have lesser of an opportunity to do the same within a few years window.

I question how much upwards pressure on pricing people can endure. Misc threads are probably an indicator.

Well, it's like complaining that you didn't start investing in the stock market sooner. Yea it sucks, but what can you do?

I have a theory that upward prices won't continue because if people are buying properties to rent them out, they're going to see negative cashflow because wages won't keep up with rising rent prices.

Unless we go the way of Australia or Canada, I think prices will not rise much further in the near term.

perhaps dems will do some sort of rent assistance program to pay part of people's rent.
