Looks like you are missing out tbh
Bro I have been a gamer since the ps2 days and once I got a pc, I never looked back.
Sure I may have owned a xbox and ps4 (and also a ps3 during covid), but to me consoles are a novelty compared to pc gaming
Also pc gamers are more mature compared to consoles, too many kiddies on consoles imo
Pc gamers are more than half compared to all consoles lol

If a PC can't dwarf consoles by x3, it simple isn't worth it to me. If it can't run at max settings a PC simply isn't worth it to me. When I do become PC Master Race, I want a minimum $5k build.

$757 and can barely beat the PS5 Pro?? You're wasting your time and money. You also didn't mention blu ray, m&k, a separate controller, and a gaming headset. That's easily another $400.
Spend $600 and have $150 leftover for 2 new games or a head set.

You also don't get a computer, spend more on games, and don't get to mod.
I think a PS5 pro is a fine choice. It is just comparable to an $800 computer… not the death to PC gaming.
(I really don't care. My PC is significantly stronger, but it was also $1500… I am also probably buying a PS5 pro).

-Only slightly stronger than a box sold to the casual masses.
Again if you only play COD, Fortnite, and other basic indie games, then by all means. But you still spent an extra $900

$750 to beat a PS5 pro, just lol
By that logic I bet you think a $400 PC will beat a base PS5 lol.

PC building doesn't work that way… The cheapest you can build a viable gaming PC is about $585. The fixed costs of the build eat up your performance. For that reason when ever someone says "I have $500 to build a gaming computer help me" my answer is always buy a console. Trying to beat that price requires a janky system like pictured in the LTT vid you linked.
This $585 computer will have a stronger CPU and GPU about 28% worse than the base PS5.
The PS5's GPU is roughly on par with a 2070S/7600/6650xt. As such it takes $625 to match the PS5.
If a PS5 pro has a 45% stronger GPU than the PS5 as is being reported it puts it between 3070Ti and RX6800 performance. This can be had at $757 as posted.
Even if it has the equivalent hardware as a 7800xt it doesn't matter because the power draw / heat constraints of the system is too low to boost it to full potential and perform like a full powered 7800xt.
You act like I hate consoles or something… I have 4 modern systems in my house and game on them about as often as I game on my stronger PC because sometimes it is nice just to relax reclined on the couch or play split screen with my wife/kids.
Simple fact is you are wrong about the relative hardware power of systems and what comparable systems cost. Yes there are benefits to the console. Yes there are benefits to a PC. This isn't "PC master race" BS. It is just what things cost.

That's funny because most "PC gamers" feel more immature considering they always feel the need to shiet on console gamers.

I built PC for about $2100 Canadian (so about 1600 USD) at the time, and while it runs better than the PS5….. It's not by that much TBH. My next GPU upgrade will look to be about another $1100 (800 usd)

Right now you cannot build a PC that runs games like the PS5 at the same price as a PS5 as much as you want to hope and dream it.
They tried this in the video I provided. They had to use USED parts, exclude a bunch of costs (peripherals, drive) and still had their game suffer crashes etc.

That post literally addresses everything your comment says. You can't build ANY decent gaming computer under $580 ish and beating it took $625.
That is exactly the way things work. The PS5 games just come with graphics sliders pre-adjusted.
The PS5 Pro will be about the equivalent of a well built modern day $800 computer… Seems like a fine deal to me. Did a gaming computer fuk your mom or something?

I was tempted to buy a 4090 but my 3080 currently runs everything beautifully so I don't really see the point.
I'll eventually upgrade maybe to a 5000 card or maybe even a 6000 card, unless some game comes out that I feel like it's worth it to upgrade.

Console versions of games aren't "just sliders adjusted", devs spend months or longer working on different versions of games. Sony bought a whole new studio just to port games to PC, why would they have to do this if it's just a matter of "adjust a couple sliders". Use your brain man.
Even a well known PC user in this forum is giving it to you straight:

They played Rift Apart which crashed, thanks to your typical PC jank coupled with the above mishmash of used parts.
You have to be a brainless monkey to choose that trash over a new PS5.

Fkn lol does anyone in this forum believe for a second mgftp has been drowning in wet hole at any point in his life? Lmao the only wet hole you know is your own bootyhole after decades of cum dumps. The closest to drowning you've ever been was getting your face bukkake'd by your bulls.

im gonna get a 14900k once they are fixed and a 5090 next year. never went balls to the wall but i have no woman to buy things for anymore
wont ever want or need an 8k tv either. 4k/120hz is good enough forever. going to take a decade for good 8k receivers supporting 120hz with a new HDMI standard anyway.
of course theyll invent some new gimmic and try to entice us but im good fam.

My 1500 dollar pc with a 1080ti from 2017 still runs daily and plays games, it's the pc my gf uses on a regular basis
My 2011ish build with a 970 still runs a plex server with a bunch of movies. I could go boot up any game on it right now.
Both builds were budget builds

Only reason I brought that up is because it seems like optimization is becoming ass this gen. All across the board to be honest but it's even more so with PC imo. Top budget PCs are so much more powerful than consoles now but I'm constantly stunned to see these machines struggling with games at the highest settings. The issue CLEARLY isn't the hardware.
People are already saying they need the 5x GPUs and I'm like damn do you know how insanely powerful your 4080 already is. It hasn't been that long since everyone was gushing over the 3080 but already it's somehow not good enough.

I think the sweet spot then for a PC is $1k.
If you can swing $1200 this is a very sweet rig.
