What I've said about the movie is objectively true.
There's no plot to the movie that hasn't already been seen. On top of that, there's almost no plot.
A bunch of people on a ship get attacked by the aliens.
There's nothing amazing going on beyond that.
The scenes are copies from other Alien films. The alien "baby" is just like the one at the end of Alien Resurrection.
You could take a half hour break in the middle of the movie, let it play, and you would still know what's going on.
All of that is true and means it's a crappy movie where you already know what's going to happen and there's no plot so you could miss a lot of the film and still know what's going on.
Man up.

Saw it today. Yeah overall, 6/10
I did enjoy Prometheus and Covenant more... better actors... better story line... better music... better filmography and better "hypotheticals" about where we came from/other planets/ etc.
This movie was just narrow corridors and aliens chasing people. Very much like the 1st and 2nd (which is fine, but I feel like its a step back to whats already been accomplished)

Not good.....better than that covenant chit show but it has the same garbage like the rapid births, black goo etc
They missed a good spot to use that egg morphing from the cut scenes in the first movie.
I think Ridley just got lucky with a well written story from the original writer....right place right time....without that writer all he has produced is chit in regards to alien since

Saw it last weekend. Exceedingly average.
Good stuff:
Aesthetics of the ship were similar to the first movie and Alien Isolation
Facehuggers were creepy af
Bad stuff:
Zero interesting characters except for the black dude, which was a surprise as I assumed he would just be a diversity tickbox. The rest, including the main girl were boring. They tried to make one of them the bad guy by making him a spazzy brit but he was just annoying. Then they tried to give him a background with just one line - oh his Mum was killed by a synthetic that's why he's a sped. Ok I still don't care.
No suspense, sense of dread etc. Hard to explain why but it had nothing that had me on the edge of my seat. Every scene where someone is about to die/get molested by the xeno it was the same thing, overacting and screaming.
No originality - even had the Jurassic World trope of using catchphrases from better movies - "g-get away f-from her b-bitch"
In short it didn't improve the series in any way. Generic trash.
