Once I'm balling I wanna get him a quartz grand Seiko similar styling to what he has now. I know he'd never fathom spending that on himself.

FFS, I knew it was a bad idea visiting this thread! Soooo tempted to tap into my Sub fund and snag an SMP. It has such a compelling charm.

The newest model has a ceramic bezel, and its dial supposedly changes shades [of blue] under different lighting.

Just got my Tissot PRS 516 (automatic) back.
I bought it in October 2014. Brought it back to the store to get it fixed since it started running fast 2 minutes / day.
After 7 weeks I finally got it back today. Fuark.
Anybody know what might have been the problem? The store said they didn't know what Tissot did to fix it. They did know however that it took so long because there were parts that needed to be ordered etc.

Sold my Bambino v2. Upgrading. Should I get the Orient Curator white dial or the Orient Vintage? The display back appeals to me but I'm not sure which one looks better.

Edit: or the white bambino v1? :/

Not sure what your budget is. If you stick with the bambino I really like the creme dial blue hands. If you have a few hundred bucks more the sarb033/sarb035 is a superior watch IMO and just as dressy. There are some nice orient star dress watches in that budget too. The Hamilton insta matic and the spirit of liberty (find this one used) also come to mind.

The cream dial blue hand bambino is the one I've sold. My price is pretty much $200 American as I got $200 Canadian for the watch and I can afford to put another 80 bucks or so in to my next one. I like the Hamilton insta matic a lot but it is out of my price :/ I like the original white bambino but I've read the curator has a better strap and it has a sapphire crystal

I love fine wristwatches but I pretty much only like IWC and I can't afford that yet

Want a Portuguese 5001 (not Portuguesier) and/or Big Pilot so bad. Will not settle for anything less. Used to like the previous model of Aquatimer Automatics, esp. since they were cheaper than the Portuguese 5001 or Big Pilot, but I've outgrown that.

Not my pics but my dream watch. IWC 7 Day Portuguese ref. IW5001-07
Spoiler!

Panerais are definitely NOT for me.

Loving this thread, my first post here.

I have my eye on the Omega Aqua Terra master co-axial, datniche gave me some info on this before. Tried it on last month and I really like it.

Also, can any body tell me about this Bulgari Octo Automatic? I haven't seen much talk about Bulgari watches?

I don't know anything about it. It uses a Zenith movement? But it looks sweet kinda like an AP. Before I start researching what are your thoughts?

Two completely different watches I know, I really like the Omega, but this Bulgari has got me curios

1.Tide (delivers a clean and fresh style of)
2.Oxi clean (attacks dry stains like a monster)
3.all (deserves a spot in the top 5 but not the best)
4.wisk (I respect the stain spectrum tech. But needs to fight harder for that top 3)

I like the bulgari more than I thought I would, but I'd go with the Aqua terra. Preferably the 15000 gauss one with the black and yellow seconds hand. Going with the simplistic design I'd go with a Rolex explorer personally.

Haven't tried it on but I've seen it in person. Was at a lunch meeting with a brah and he (sitting across from me) had one. Couldn't stop staring at it, no homo.

I doubt the 5001 is still in stock anywhere. There's one high end jewelry retailer in my city that is an official IWC retailer, maybe I'll check them out when I'm in the area (almost never).

This.

I went watch shopping, so many goodie goodies ^^

I'll start off with the best bang for buck watch; only $10k for this beauty!

Same watch, different dial color

Back of the Glashutte:

I also went to Lange, but even this simple watch is $36k

I also tried on a Panerai for the first time in my life. I was never a big fan of them, but slapping it on the wrist definitely changed my view a bit. They're beautiful watches, the finish of the in-house movements is quite nice as well (didn't get a pic of that).

And lastly I also strapped on the new James Bond 'limited' edition. The dial is kind of hideous, but the rotor is awesome! Dat price tho. It's $7.3k lmao

Always happy to help and talk watches brah. The Bulgari is cooler than I would have expected, but still, idk.. Would go for the AT.

GO is so legit, but they just don't have the allure of Lange. But of course they're a fraction of the price. I just don't think I'd ever find one appealing enough to get. I don't think they're just cheap copies of Lange or anything, it's just that style, but my head still tells me their the cheap version of Lange.

New to the watch game. Thoughts on the sarb065? I've seen great reviews for it. Only Question is I'm not sure how the 40.5mm would fit my wrist as my wrist is relatively small? I'm a watch noob so any advice is appreciated!
