Maybe a little. But I think Hauntzer still would have gotten absolutely rekt by Cuvee. Bio and double would also be a liability.

DL was actually taking a HUGE dump on Ruler in game 2 of groups when Bjergsen was inting on Zilean

Yea let's just forget the rest of the tournament where he played like a complete retard against lesser teams. TSM would have still gotten taken to the slaugher house by SSG. I think it's safe to say people massively overestimated TSM and underestimated SSG.

sneaky sucks and has sucked. he got dicked on every single c9 game. biofrost has the potential to be better than aphro given time. easily believable that he can be as good as aphro or better by next worlds

Hauntzer
Sven
Bjerg
zven
bio

zven is the only western ad other than stixxay who can perform at worlds imo. i give zven a pass this year because all of g2 was off. i remember watching him last year and saying he was without a doubt the highest skill-cap western adc of all time

rush needs a korean team.

edit: another year of wheldon as well. he said he won't coach that intensively anymore unless they get top-tier athlete salaries(in the millions) but i can't imagine him being serious

They rely on Crown getting ahead which is just not possible against Faker. Ruler looks good this series, but forgiven has picked nothing but sivir. Bang and Wolf are too good at the moment. Cuvee should win against Duke, but Duke just held his own against Smeb. Pretty sure he can handle Cuvee.

Going to be all on ambition imo.

Aphro is about as good as Bio and Sneaky is as bad, if not worse than DL this Worlds. So it's basically the same thing as TSM right now, if not worse. NA and EU just has to concede that they don't know how to produce teams like the Koreans can, so they will never match them until they know how and have the resources to do it. China proved that you can't just throw money at the problem and buy the best players. Can you imagine if any other region in the world lost 20 of their top players? NA would be sending maplestreet to Worlds or something.

TSM is already a NA super team unless you want to kick Biofrost for a Korean support or Hauntzer for a Korean top, which may hurt communication. I definitely do not think Hauntzer is a problem at all. Aphro actually wasn't that great to be honest in Summer Split and even in Worlds he was pretty meh.

Only Jankos really looked like he was comfortable and belonged up on stage. Ryu got dominated, Forg1ven was an ulti bot, Odoamne got neutralized by Cuvee, and Vander was basically nonexistent which happens when you play Karma and your team is behind.

doubt Zven would come to NA, but yeah Stixxay might be a better fit.

Maybe Bio improves moreso next split, but I think you need Aphro to shotcall along with Sven even if he's getting a little washed up.

Yeah i doubt sven would come as well because he only plays with mithy. TSM has the money to do it and if sven wants to perform the best, he should think that this would be his best bet
actually i have no idea because doublelift is the shotcaller with bjerg. getting rid of double could be catastrophic. but on the otherhand he learned how to shotcall in a single split(this one) so another ad can do it as well

True. A lot of the gap comes down to teamwork and being able to react on a macro level quickly. Hard to compete with KR teams when the very act of importing Korean players make it harder to communicate and achieve those things.

That's why I'm in favor of Riot having two separate worlds (one for korea, one for the rest of the world).

No one will ever catch up to Korea because no region have the same drive as them. TSM copied SKT schedule for a split and they got burntout. Meanwhile Faker has been following that same schedule for 3 years and haven't bitched about it once.

wut

This is like the one game where the west can actually catch up. With streams, youtube channels etc, being a pro is a pretty viable route, not to mention that Rito is putting way more $$$ into the prize pool right now. The Koreans have the advantage because of their work ethic and infrastructure from starcraft, but there is no reason to believe the gap isn't closing in the larger picture. Because I think you'd have to be pretty fukin potato to say that just because we didn't really get to see that this year.

I disagree. This year proves the gap isn't closing. The only way the gap closes is when Korea stops caring about League because a newer and brighter game dominates the scene. By that time, no one will care.

Can you imagine how bad NA and EU would be if another region came in and bought all the top talent? That happens consistently in Korea, yet they still destroy everyone every single year. I don't even want to think how good Korea would be if Imp, Dade, Deft, Pawn, Easyhoon, Scout, Marin, Piglet, GBM, Mata, Ryu, Clearlove, Huni, Reignover, and whoever else I missed stayed in Korea. The west would never win a single game.

lmao, if Korea still had those players, it wouldn't be 1-2 super Korean teams… It'd be like 8 super Korean teams. Just lol at Korea losing 20 of their top players and getting better results the next 2 years.

A classic day in LoL. Really a true classic… I dont know what league you're in but at higher leagues it gets a bit better. Recently got an account from bronze 5 mmr to gold V and let me tell you. Almost every game was one like you just described. lol… one game we had an AD with ap runes, a jungler with no smite and a midlaner complaining about lag/bad team. A true clown fiesta.
