What a finals. Just as intense as the semis. Faker and Bengi 3x World champions, Bang and Wolf 2x World champions. SKT with the repeat worlds win. Faker greatest pro-gamer of any game. I love it.

Faker is the god at this game seriously. Best player at probably every mid laner. Zed, Orianna, Leblanc, Ahri, he so good at them all wtf.

Bengi Deserves MVP of worlds

he had the most pressure on him the entire tournament in semi and finals coming in to desperate situations and carried and got his team ahead

bengi didn't really play most of worlds until semis

bang deserved it more than faker imo, but i cant complain that faker got it

He never will be the MVP so long as Faker is in the mid lane. He's probably the most mysterious LoL player ever. He isn't the greatest mechanically, often slumps during the regular season, and doesn't look great in the non do or die games. But during the do or die games that really matter, they call on him, and he becomes a stone cold killer and somehow carries SKT from the brink of defeat.

hope SKT's path to the finals show that the gap between the LCK and the rest of the world isn't borne out of pure skill difference, but the ability to make plays and react quickly and crisply according to the game's present situation. League isn't strategically diverse like Dota 2, so the ability to execute quicker on fewer possibilities tear apart equally skilled and even more creative teams. the LCK is 100% Korean because introducing foreign players would mess up their comms and thus their ability to react + execute in time. in their quest to "catch up" as quickly as possible, China and the West may have actually set themselves back by trying to nab as many LCK players as possible. it's not a coincidence the likes of Ohq, Piglet and Marin have "declined" hard - when players within a team take longer to be on the same page, they simply become worse as a unit.

that counter-engage by SKT at bot lane in Game 2 says it all. the frame Crown is spotted roaming bot, Faker follows. The frame Ambition shows bot, Duke channels TP. Cuvee hadn't even appeared on their radar, but by process of elimination they knew he'd show up too. SSG would've wiped clean any other team with that play, but not SKT.


/e On the series itself, I hated how SSG drafted so that SKT would always have the splitpush advantage. It meant winning top and putting sidelane pressure through the game was never an option for them, which meant they had to rely on big dick plays rather than controlled play. With Ambition on Olaf and SKT drafting Braum in Game 5 it meant they didn't even have the "big dick" option, despite their modest lead in the mid game Duke could always force Cuvee to move to a sidelane and Faker could just ez waveclear mid, while Bengi + Bang could look for low-risk high-reward plays.

Think we can be happy with this finals. Wasn't the 3-0 rape we were expecting and we got probably the best semi final and finals ever. I had so many heart attacks in games 3, 4, and 5.

It'll be interesting to see what teams stay together. You know for a fact that China is buying someone from Korea. It just depends who the sellout is this year.

And just lmao at wanting to watch NA over that semifinal and final. I think this might be the first year I consistently watch LCK. I only see NA getting worse next year.

I don't blame Koreans from going to China. Realistically you only have a couple years as a pro-gamer, and you need to make as much money as possible. It's not like they will be able to keep playing LoL until they're in their 60's. And apparently the pay on Korean teams is absolute garbage, like a lot less than 100k. So if you're faced with making 50k vs 750k, I'd choose 750 too.

edit: you ever have those games where your team gets ahead early and your playing really good and looks like it will be a nice victory. and then all of a sudden enemy team gets a lucky teamfight and then just somehow ends the game 3 minutes later even though its only the 20 minute mark

not so much lucky as much as solo q is notorious (in elo under high diamond) of playing cocky with a lead and throwing it. Thats why you should never surrender when you are losing even if if you are getting wrecked. Just play it out. Most of the time someone on the other team is going to think he is unkillable and go in 1v5.
hard to hate on a fellow wings fan but….

heavenTime was a nobody when he did play LoL, but he is Echo Fox's head coach so you'd think he'd know a LITTLE bit about what's going on.

anyway pawn is pretty much done with LoL due to his back, but Deft to Samsung would make that team scary as **** as they already team fight very well in the late game..

also can anybody explain to me how these riven mains combo so fast?

I mean, they will 3rd Q, dash, stun, pop ult + wind slash active all in under 1.5 seconds. i dont understand it I play at 25 ping and combos feel so fkin clunky and slow, but i rarely play riven

and yes i know what animation cancelling is, animation cancelling isn't what im talking about

Like in the Yasuo clip?

E -> Flash (Cancels E animation but the displacement has already occured) -> R (Activation) -> W -> Auto -> Titanic active (Resets auto attack timer) -> R active (cancels Titanic's active auto animation) -> Q

E: I don't think the Q cancels Wind Slash's animation, he just casts Q as soon as it ends.
