Damn being a Niners fan is a rough life right now. You look at other teams and see some light at the end of the tunnel or at least a few good players. We got nothing but busts and scrubs. Need Balke out ASAP wish he could take the owner w him.

Niners have cap space for days but they will probably regret that huge extension for Bowman if he can't come back from this injury.

This is great to see! Hopefully he continues to product like he has. Like I said earlier I think both him and Ward become the starting corner and we get rid of brock. He has not been good at all and gets beat lately.

@PFF

49ers DE DeForest Buckner is the highest-graded rookie D-lineman through Week 3.#GoNiners

Again nice to see we at least have 2 promising players…

Niners have promising players, they're just not the sexy ones that people get boned up about.

Arik Armstead, Deforest Buckner, Aaron Lynch, Jimmie Ward, Eric Reid, Robinson are all quality players. Eli Harold, Will Redmond and Jaquiski Tartt can also show some good things.

Our OL is much improved and actually a strength again but the reason everyone is down on the team is because we have a gaping hole at the biggest position in the game - QB.

WRs are trash outside of Smith and he's not a #1 guy.
RBs are pretty good but Hyde needs to stay healthy and not face 9 in the box all game long.

If we can sign Alshon Jeffrey that would be a big boost to the offense but the key is still QB which is why we MUST address this position this upcoming offseason. I'm afraid we won't be able to suck bad enough to land someone like Kizer and probably won't even get a chance at Deshaun Watson.

I think we'll very much be in the Garoppolo trade talks but I'd also look hard at Luke Falk in the draft if that doesn't go through. Maybe look at another QB as depth earlier than 5th round since we badly need talent at the position.

Lol…. Can't help but laugh. I do think Dorsey should play more. But most of all Ian Williams is the one we should blame for never being healthy.

Yep honestly that is a positive outlook on the future. There are multiple pieces missing right now on both sides. This upcoming draft needs to be a good one. Combine that with the FA we could maybe look a lot better next year.

I do not mind Chip Kelly and I cannot blame him for what is going on. He came into a mess. If the team can get a few more good players we would look completely different.

We have to remember that we are rebuilding and it comes with a lot of losses on Sunday. No excuses we suck right now but lets wait until the end of the year and see what pieces we have to build on. If we beat Dallas and were 2-2 would you feel that much better about the team?

It all comes down to having a franchise QB. If you don't have one you have to be great everywhere else and we are far from that.

Yeah top QB makes up for so much other garbage.

Top QB also makes your coaches look much better as a result.

I don't think we can pick ahead of Cleveland but if somehow a team like Tennessee does wind up picking in front of them we should do whatever we can to move up for Deshone Kizer. That dude is a stud.

Some of the prettiest deep passes I've seen in a long time by a young QB.

For any of you who haven't seen him play yet…and he's looking even better this year.

I say draft a QB high and also trade for Garoppolo. If Garoppolo doesn't work out maybe we'll have a similar situation as the seahawks with Flynn and Wilson.

I do not expect a win tomorrow but I at least hope to see it competitive. Defense is the biggest issue now. I think we can run on them but not sure Gabbert will do much with the passing game. Not sure what to think of all the drama going around between him and Torrey Smith.

I think we either draft a QB high or trade for Garoppolo. It will cost at least our 2nd rounder for him if not more. Our 2nd this year and next probably gets it done unless a team with a mid 1st rounder wants to go for it.

If we make that move I think 3rd round would be the highest we should think about taking a QB. 2018 draft will have some legit QB prospects as well…really 2017 crop is all underclass men for the most part so it's possible this class is awful if guys like Kizer, Watson, Kaaya, etc stay in school.

I think we either draft a guy in the first round or trade for Jimmy and grab another guy to develop on day 3.

Game day. Cardinals have a bad run defense, backup starting QB, and hella turnovers last two games, normally that would be a good time to face them, but maybe not when you're the 49ers. I'm gonna watch this game but I'm not going into it with any expectations. I would like to see a strong performance from some guys like Rashard Robinson, and Aaron Lynch, and the OL and Hyde but I really can't get my hopes too high when the team is as decimated as it is on defense, already untalented roster wise and led by Gabbert at QB. We'll see what happens tonight.

On a side note at least that Giants game last night was epic.

This…49ers could win but they could also get embarrassed again.

Honestly I've been totally comfortable with the understanding that this is a rebuilding year though honestly I didn't expect our QB play to be that bad behind an OL which has actually done pretty well in pass protection.

I'd like us to keep this game close but imo long term a loss helps us more. A top 3 pick this year will be really tough to screw up IMO.

Surprised the D got a stop on first drive. Gabbert of course badly badly misses wide open Celek and we go 3 and out.

Punt fest. And Gabbert missed another wide open throw for what would've been a TD if he completes it.

This is a blowout it Palmer played. Stanton is playing nearly as bad as Gabbert.

Need me a couple of Hyde TDs.

And that Hyde penalty and interception prove costly. Also Brock getting beat a lot lately, although he had a nice pass breakup on two deep plays earlier.

Brock beat again on the deep TD. Chris Davis with a terrible fumble on opening kickoff, then Rashard makes his first mistake it seems with that penalty. Offense stalls and now Cards route is on.

Crazy thing is we should be easily winning this game and we have only hurt ourselves a bunch to lead to Cardinals big lead.

Brock getting smoked…hopefully Robinson and Redmond turn into quality starters so we can let him go next season. He's not a #1 starter and we can find someone better for less money.

Hopefully we don't get away from the running game here or we'll be down by 30+ in no time.
