Not to mention D5 is the absolute worst of the community. A bunch of *******s who think they are good because they got diamond and no longer care because they can't drop to plat.

I'd rather play in bronze than D5.

What do you mean specifically? Its definitely possible to carry as supp but i would think that you need to have really good decision making to do so

i dunno, would you really see them as a true diamond/challenger skill level if they got there through support only?

theoretically right now you can climb as support since supps like zyra, malz and brand are pretty good right now. Most of the master/challenger support mains didn't climb as support though. It's too hard to depend on other people to carry you. You can get your adc massively fed in lane but if they don't know how to play mid-late game they'll be useless. If you can learn how to roam and ward properly you increase your chances of getting your entire team fed but that assumes your adc knows how to look at a map and farm safe. Not saying its impossible but definitely not easy.

How do you guys go with items?
- Do you usually go immediately with the ingredients of your final higher set items?
- Or do you get starter items which is not usually ingredients required for your final items and sell and replace them as you get gold to buy your higher items?

I feel like sometimes its hard to farm gold especially when trying to avoid enemy champs from attacking you.

90% of the time the starting items (doran's blade/shield/ring etc) are the best items to start with. They give you health, combat stats and some sort of sustain which is what you want during laning phase.

Farming whilst trying to avoid damage as well as doing damage to your lane opponent is extremely difficult but the more you play the better you'll get at it. You just have to learn your champion's attack/spell range as well as those of your opponents, learning how much damage creeps do to each other so you know if you have time to attack your opponent or to get the last hit on the creep. It's all just part of learning the game.

i would see them as much more skilled since climbing as support is way more difficult than other roles

most of the time, you're going to want to start off with a doran's item or corrupting potion. Occasionally you might want to go with other items such as boots or armor starting off, but generally you cant exactly go wrong with dorans.

As for the rest of the game…it honestly depends on your preference and how the game is going. Doran items are extremely cost efficient, meaning they provide a lot of stats for the low cost. Thats why I'll sometime do double doran sword/ring if thats all i can afford. I tend to do this more when im behind since im low on gold and cant afford to save for a costly item, which would make me even weaker. Then ill sell them if im close to a big item

For farming, its just practice. You'll eventually learn how to move around the minions while avoiding damage from enemy champs (and also do damage to them). Farming is probably one of the most absolute important part of the game, dont neglect it

well from what I hear from my irl friends with high ranks playing support is that maining support helps team champ picks in otherwise situations where you'd have 5 guys who dont want to play support and pretty much forcing one to be a support, therefore gimping potential and also avoiding the raging and qq if someone is forced to play support unwillingly. that itself, having a team that isnt raging with each other from the beginning can increase win%?

you're talking about the top 1% of players where you can ideally assume getting them fed/safe in team fights they'll be able to carry you. Thinking someone will/can carry you (increase win % as you called it) is the opposite attitude if you want to climb rank. I personally love to play support but I also don't care about my rank. Your logic is correct but you'll get flamers no matter what at almost any rank so picking a role to think it'll cause less flamers and more team cooperation and lead to winning more is something that just doesn't happen.

you will save 100s of hours and toxicity by quitting whilst you're ahead

once you've hit gold you got end of season rewards right?

Sometimes it sucks having high mmr for your rank. I was G3 season 5, then season 6 i was playing against high gold - mid plat after being placed in S3. Got to gold 5 then started playing against all low-high plat. Decided to stay in G5 for season 6, now im playing placements and still being paired up against high gold - mid plat lol

I swear the higher elo you go, the more people think they're some god

I think Gold is actually elo heaven if you aren't good enough to get to Diamond or so. Gold is very peaceful for the most part.

Low Plat is absolutely, without a doubt, elo hell. The egos in low plat are ridiculous and it's so funny because the kids are garbage. Mid platinum is okay, high platinum gets toxic again because everyone is tryharding for Diamond.

Is this the beginning of the fall of tsm? Bjerg eventually will not be the best anymore and this series was a 0/10 from him

Once he falls from the top tsm will need a major restructuring

I didn't realize TSM played today. I'll check out the vod. C9 is probably the best NA team this split, so I wouldn't be all that worried. But ya, without DL, TSM is a 1 man team. If his form is iffy, I don't see you guys being all that great. Still, NA sucks so you'll make worlds.

In all reality, Korea is unreal this year. Even the middle teams like Afreeca are good as fuk. Rest of the world has no chance.

The problem with dlift was that he sht the bed at world's every single time so it's better for tsm to find another adc. The problem is they went with turtle instead of a solid Korean import. Ideally I wish they would've gotten steelback who in my eyes is one of the best adcs in the West. He played on such bad teams and had such ridiculously good scores every single game. Always won lane and always had a a great team fight presence. He's the sole reason I did great in fantasy lcs if anybody remembers

Yeah Korea will decimate this year easily with all the players who went to China returning. Tbh I'm not really finding lcs entertaining anymore. Or league in general

I agree brah, dunno if I'm just burntout or all of Rito's forced changes just suck, but I have lost a lot of interest. I have actually really enjoyed the LCK vods so far because papasmithy is such a great caster, but even then, it's not monte and doa.

I haven't played in a month and don't really feel a need to start playing again. Kind of sad really. So many hours wasted and I never broke top 10 in challenger

TSM will never go anywhere internationally with Biofrost. He's just not that good.

Also I'm with you guys, I haven't played the game in months as well. Mostly just watch LCS nowadays.

I think biofrost has plenty of potential and showcased it plenty of times throughout last season (his rookie season). I think dlift was the problem with their botlane getting rekt against every team at worlds not biofrost

I'll watch lcs for 2 or 3 weeks but as of yesterday's and today's game I'm bored of it. Maybe I'll tune into the higher rated lck vods

Also I'm with you guys, I haven't played the game in months as well. Mostly just watch LCS nowadays.
I actually thought biofrost was tsms best player yesterday. Not saying much because only hauntzer showed up.

I think sven needs to show that he's more than a lee player if tsm is going to do anything. With the 10 bans he's not going to get it.

This game is also retarded right now. The support mf nearly 1 shot all the tsm backline twice with just her ult in that first game. Support mf……

Edit: the 2nd game, kat was a garbage pick. Nautilus, syndra, varus, Taric, and lee all have hard cc to fuk her. She was never going to work unless she snowballed hard early, any mage would have been much more useful from bjerg

lul played against a support MF last night who thought she had counterpicked my Zyra. 0/7/3 20 minutes in for her.

Smoothie was only able to get the kills because Turtle and Bio stood on his ult for pretty much the whole duration. WildTurtle had 800 HPish and Biofrost had 500ish, while Bjergsen literally stood on it for the whole duration and took 1K damage - "nearly one shot"? lol

If it were an ADC MF they'd all be dead within a second
