Yeah the old Form 4s dragged out really long when the eForm 4 came out. I waited 15 months for mine.

I'm convinced my eForm 4 from July will likely take until next July to be approved at this rate.

Skip "modding" save up for an entire higher quality rifle in the future and have this one as a backup/spare parts

And ammo mags sling training of course

(and not radical either)

Or you can mod with some upgraded parts, then later buy more parts, steal the upgraded parts off the anderson and add them to the other new parts to build a whole new rifle while replacing the OEM anderson parts in this rifle.

You could upgrade the trigger/FCG, buffer assembly (receiver extension, buffer, spring), furniture (stock, grip) and rail as well as optics or lights this way

My fear is that if I don't get it by March and I do end up moving out of state and it's not approved, I'll have to go back to pick it up. Will the gun range ship it to me, or is that some kind of legal no-no since it's not from the manufacturer?

I submitted my Eform 4 April 25th. Last month was an estimated wait of 7 months, and now silencer central is estimating up to 9 months.

My rentcels lease is good until the end of March, and hopefully I can work for a different Caterpillar company in Nevada by then.

It's that time again! Firearms related goals for the next year

Whatcha got in mind?

I'm consolidating. Fewer guns. More consistency. More red dots. Back to Glock based. And taking equipment and training up a notch for when the sun goes down.

Lol no worries, I wasn't expecting you to remember.

As for my firearm related goals next year. I think my number one goal will be to get some serious and consistent practice in. Sadly for the YEAR, I've maybe only shot 700 rounds in both my pistols and my one rifle. If I move to Las Vegas, my number one priority will be to get a CC permit. It's required to CC in that state, but open carry is legal.

Lesser priorities will be to look into outdoor shooting and maybe start doing drills like what RThoe was doing.

Stacking mags and ammo. Get my reloading bench set back up too. Get back to IDPA.

Find on owb holster that doesn't look absurd when it's 110 here all summer.

I reload and have a tendancy to mess around with different loads and bullets. I bounce around a lot and it's been years since I could walk in my gun room, grab any gun and its ammo and know it's sighted in ready to hunt. I've been working through consolidating ammo and streamlining. My goal for the year is to have everything sighted in at the same time, at least once.

To the experienced AR-15 person I'm sure.

Dude: Bro I was in the Navy and I was a Marshall. You can get any AR-15 It's just like a box. It doesn't matter if its 300 or 2,000 they're all the same.
Me: But the reviews say that it will only last like 500 rounds? Thats what it says on the website
Dude: That's because they don't slick them up and take care of them
Me: But it literally says it falls apart and the customer service sucks
Dude: I'm telling you man you're shorting yourself but do what you do
Me: I just want a quality one
Dude: Well whatever what do I know? I'm a better shot and grew up with guns
Me: yeah well I want a name brand people trust
Dude: Well Whatever you aren't grasping what I'm saying
Me: Lol well ok. better be safe than sorry

*proceeds to buy AR that won't fall apart and has quality*

I had Battle Werx cerakote my slide a couple weeks ago. I like it a lot.

Nice, good to hear positive reviews on Battle Werx from multiple guys ITT. So I'm going to get the stock G19 Gen5 most likely this upcoming weekend. What's the consensus on best sight and cut to go with it? I was thinking Holosun (solar + battery) with RMR. Open to other opinions.

I like that newer tech that has a circle "halo" in the optical that lets you know if you are aiming high, low, left or right, by showing you part of the circle in the frame to let you know where you need to adjust you aim to lock onto the dot. Any guys have experience with this model? Wasn't this a Halosun product?

Start IDPA / action shooting, maybe steel with my beretta.

Start my long-awaited goal of building an AR-15 - probably for precision, 20" barrel, etc.
