That's the problem with having scores of foreveralone teenagers in your player base. I managed to get muted by all 4 of my teammates last night for doing nothing but defending myself from accusations and report threats. I was accused of feeding for having 2 deaths after 15 mins of play, and muted for stating as much.

Then I scored a solo triple kill in a teamfight. & every convo before I was muted went something like this:

Jhin: "CaliSuperSport you're ****ing useless. Wtf are you doing top"
Me: "huh? I was saving our tower and I just got a triple kill…"
Jhin: "Muted."

Can't even get mad at those kind of guys, it's just too stupid for words.

what role do you play? what champs do you play? Silver is a pretty hell elo tbh but not bad to get out of.

one reason I haven't bothered with ranked yet. The cancer and autism on this game is truly next level. Yesterday I asked a top to ping after getting ganked by his lane for the 3rd time. 2 minutes later 3 teammates and the enemy team are spamming chat calling me bad/stupid/blind/trash/"this mid"/etc etc.

If it wasn't so laughable I'd probably have quit this game ages ago.

playing flex with silver players who think they know better is the absolutely ****ing worst gaming experience there is

Silver is the worst. Bronze is easy, but Silver is where everyone thinks they know better since they climbed out of bronze, but they don't know a damn thing. You also have the ones who belong in Bronze 5 but get placed in Silver. I can carry a Gold or low Plat game easier than a Silver game lol.

Once I got into G4 again, climbing became super easy. Everyone is so much better and the games are way more fun. Almost at Plat promos already, G1 46lp, hnnng.

Also, the new coin buff is super OP. Base quickly to get medallion upgrade and you rack up gold like crazy. In a 35 minute game with medallion on Brand, versus a Zyra with Frostfang, I had double the gold generation she had the entire game, finished with like 2k more gold. Had more gold than our jungler and almost the same as the top laner. I only went 6/4 as well, so nothing special. Getting the mana coins in lane also helps with mana sustain more than the spellthiefs. The only issue is having to pick up the coins in lane, because if it's a hard lane they can just pile on you as you grab coins, but since they last for a while, it's not hard to sneak in and pick it up in a minion wave.

gotta agree with carrying silvers is more difficult than gold/plats. Was doing placements on my smurf, paired up against high gold/low-mid plats, and carrying most games, ended 8-2 and placed in Silv 1. Now I'm getting placed AGAINST mid gold, but paired up WITH low-mid silvers, and i cant carry

at least some gold/plat players know how to let themselves get carried, but silvers just consistently shut off their brains

Could someone drop some insight on the jump into ranked games? I've played for about 3 months now - I'm reliable with about 6 different champs (but suck bad at support).

How common is it for ranked queue newbies to progress reasonably well? Or should I expect to be bronze for a while?

My best champ is probably Varus but I've been using the riskier BORK/Crit builds. I'm M7 with Zed but not convinced that amounts to much. Some games I'll go 20/5 or w/e, but against solid teams (and alot of tanky teams especially) I'll struggle to keep a break-even kda. I also can't deal with alot of mid champs like Fizz/Irelia/Ekko. And despite the fact I've played against a Yasuo countless times, it feels like I'm on a knife's edge every game to win lane against him.

Not sure if that's enough to go off of - still getting a hang on every intricacy of the game.

With the new system as long as you can play 2 roles you're fine. I main JG/Supp but can lane if I have to though it doesn't come up much. The best way to learn ranked is to play it. Varus isn't that great for climbing and Zed is harder to play, but see how you do. Placement matches are really generous, I got Silver 2 after going 6-4 when I started playing the game and the only champs I could play were Shyvana jungle and Ashe ADC lol.

Any of you guys play(ed) SMITE? I just got it on PS4 and it seems cool. I played a couple months of LoL like 4 years ago but I didn't have much time to play.

oh wow ok, I figured because the game has been out for a while that I was way behind.

Also since I hear so many bad things about teammates screwing up, I was looking for a better solo queue champ instead of a glass cannon like Varus. I think I'll lean on Galio.

It's about skill, not how long a person has played the game really. Some people have been playing for years and are still Bronze and a new player can stomp them. Galio is OK, but he can't hard carry. With the nerfs he's not played much anymore either. If you're starting out, playing tanks/support champions will drive you mental given how much everyone else sucks. The best champs to play if you are starting out and want to climb are ones with high damage, snowball potential, some mobility or self-peel, easy mechanics, good scaling (since lower elo games go on forever).

ADC - Tristana, Caitlyn: Tristana can push in (lower elo ADC's can't farm under tower), take towers quickly, has higher range as game goes on, ult and W for disengage and W has a reset. Caitlyn has longest base range, traps + net, press R ult, you just stand from afar, set traps around yourself, poke, press E on whoever gets near, press R on whoever is getting away with low HP.

Mid - Annie, Veigar: Annie can farm with Q and get easy CS and snowball from that alone. If you take TP and CDR boots, all you do is farm, flash R in a team fight, farm, etc. Veigar just keeps stacking until he can 1 shot things. Even if you can't land any abilities, putting a cage around someone traps them for your team and your ult is point and click.

Top - Darius, Nasus: Nobody understands how Darius works so just apply bleed stacks and get ult resets while being tanky as hell. Nasus just farms until he's a tanky raid boss who can 1 shot everything and take towers easily, just press Q and farm.

Jungle - Master Yi: You can do literally anything with him in lower elo. He farms fast, can counter jungle, 1v1, people are always pushed up and oblivious so he can even gank easily, resets with ult for quick pentas, nobody knows how to play against you. You can just ignore your team, farm, get 2 items, and carry a game yourself.


Even though these are "noob-friendly" champs, they're solid at all ranks. Tristana is popular now, Caitlyn is the highest win rate ADC. Annie Bot is a challenger Annie one-trick. Sirhcez and trick2g still play Nasus at master+ tier. Yi isn't as good in higher elo but there are tons of Yi one tricks in Diamond and a few who made it to master+ with a support as duo.

Looking for some advice brahs. I am currently in Gold 3, haven't played for months to be honest. Looking to get back into the swing of things….easiest champs I can climb with? Currently play support and jungle mostly, willing to play ADC and top as well.

how to get into LoL, have tried and tried again and i do enjoy it a little bit, but playing bots trying to 'learn' how to play gets boring af!

Good meta for playmakers and peel/heal supports due to Doran's shield BS, buffs for coin/shield path + Redemption/Locket changes and targeted nerfs. Karma has been gutted, Malz is back to midlane, most lane bullies (Lulu/Zyra/Nami/etc.) are meh. Janna, Blitz and Thresh (yes even with no skill due to busted items) are pretty freelo rn. Most tanky supports work fine.

In SoloQ jungle meta is pretty much whatever, so long as you have early game presence and late game playmaking.

best way to learn is to play against real people. Watch videos on making good decisions and mechanics on champs you like

Honestly, no one is going to roast you playing in normal games, which are all you will play before 30. Now in ranked is another story. There will be ragers from Bronze up to Challenger. But before 30 most people won't give a ****. Just learn during that time and curbstomp most scrubs, except those that are smurfing. There are outliers that rage during normal games too but who cares
