Started watching The International Dota 2 tournament

Dota 2 looks awesome compared to LoL. I have no idea what the hell is evening happening but the combat and abilities looks awesome

I also like the map layout and how there is upper ground and lower ground, and how you can run through the trees to try and escape etc

also in Dota 2 it looks like there is way higher probability that you can make a comeback when your down

I try to watch the big Dota 2 tourneys and legit have no idea whats going on. I even played a chit ton of Dota 1 back in the day.

Dota 2 heroes are a lot more unique and itemization is more OP so drafting matters so much more. I love that the game is more strategic and requires deeper knowledge than LoL but it's not very good for hopping in and grinding MMR solo, or just being straight up the better mechanical player.

dota is not as good as LoL trust me. I played 5-6 years of dota (before LoL came out) and 3 years of LoL, both with dedicated teams and in cash-prize tournaments and LoL is better in every aspect. well "WAS" better. the first 3 years of LoL were when it was at it's best. last time I checked they changed way too much. but it probably is still better than dota. once LoL came out all of my dota buddies moved to LoL and never looked back because there was just way more to it. I can't speak for LoL at it's current state though, since I haven't played in the past 4 years or something.

the thing with dota is that it's always going to be a little more balanced than LoL because they literally do not change chit about it. it's still the same as it was 10 years ago. that's not fun or interesting to me. i was really ****in bored of it when it was on wc3 because it was the same chit over and over again. same heroes, same skills, same tactics. year after year same chit. but when LoL came out, **** yeah, RIOT was an amazing company, we got like 1 new champion every 2 weeks or something, and then we had overhauls of characters and new items every so and so. new skins, you have to unlock your champs… etc. there was some lore to the characters and history to the world. compared to dota, we didn't know **** about the characters of dota. they were just there.

Yea, looks like the misc no longer plays it. Kinda mad I wasn't miscing as much when I was in prime League condition (and there was a misc chatroom).

I still play. It's my preferred multiplayer game right now.

Liquid has been the cleaner, stable team all year long and C9 probably thought some cheese was necessary to get some wins (like the Hecarim pick or Sven popping off on Lee). Too bad, they should've played to abuse Pobelter instead.
