Had grinded to D5 way back in march before I went back to wagecucking, then I literally lost all my anti-decay games and dropped to Plat; played on tilt for a weekend and fell off a precipice to Plat 4 lul. Now the game feels fun again tho, don't really give a fuk about getting the highest rank possible anymore and I just play whatever. Way easier on my blood pressure.

You really think so? based on the play i've seen from the top of china/korea, I'd say this is the least close worlds so far. China improved significantly and the top 3 korean teams are looking monstrous.

My peak in season 5 when I hit D5…man…the blood pressure, the raging, the fukking stress. But that final 2/2 Plat 1 promos, getting that final win, and seeing the D5 animation…100x better than busting inside srs

After that I found it much easier to play just for fun. I guess I just accepted I'll never really climb above diamond, so what's the point.

I guess by close I mean there are 4-5 asian teams that could possibly win the whole thing rather than 2. LCK was so back and forth and there were a lot of upsets so its hard to say that XX Korean team is just going to stomp everyone no question. I didn't watch LPL very much so I can't comment as much on the Chinese teams but from what I've read they have solid lineups.

I nerded out so much to try to climb past D5 after I got there for the first time in early S7 but I never got past promos. Oh well, at least the screenshots will live on in my hard drive lol.

If Clash ever happens I'd be down, I main either bot role.


Re: Worlds - LCK was awesome to watch this season but I don't think they improved much, SKT/KZ fell off more than KT/GenG/Afreeca going on a historical roll. On the other hand, LPL looked strong as fuk and RNG in particular are serious contenders to finally dethrone Korea. Out of the Western teams, I think only Fnatic will take games off either LPL or LCK. If the meta was more ADC oriented I'd say Liquid would stand a chance but no way they get anywhere when Xmithie has to be on tanks and Pobelter has to not get **** on.

I realistically think that only RNG has a chance against Korea. I haven't followed as close as I usually do, but it's just so hard for me to pick against the LCK when they prove themselves time and time again. Not to mention it's in Korea this year.

And isn't C9 basically guaranteed into Group B? I didn't really look at the group draws so I don't know, but I thought I read something that they are all but confirmed for B.

Well its pretty much a guarantee but there's always a chance. It's assuming G2 and EDG win their groups, which they should. Both of them can can only go into group A or C. Since C9 can only go into A or B if all 3 teams make it leaves C9 with only B option. Then its GG for C9.

Just got perma'd this morning boyos, lmao. Had most kills on my team as Nasus. Team had scores like 1/5 or 2/7 and was doing general fukwad stuff like pinging (?) because I didn't jump into their 1v3 or calling me bad because when I finally died.

They continued saying far worse stuff than me, harassing me all game, and typing while enemies pushed their lanes. But they ganged up the reports on me.

I'm officially part of the 0.006%. Feelsgoodman. Just had a hearty chuckle and hopped on the alt.

I would probably be more angry if I was progressed and spent a ton of money on it. Think I have $10 invested in that account so could care less.

I have a strong case considering how toxic they were acting but I don't care enough. So what my alt has 5 less champs unlocked.

I think TL will make it out then get hard stomped. EDG chokes at worlds every year. 100T has a chance depending on who they decide to ADC.

Also lol at the Afreeca coach getting fined for getting reported in like 80% of his korean solo q games.

This is the weakest that EDG has been according to what I've read. If TL can't beat them, they don't deserve to make it out of groups.

Just watched the TL game. Tbh, they didn't look as bad as I expected. A couple of things different and that game against KT could have been different.

I still have no faith in anyone else.

TL game was a long struggle. I didn't like the Ryze pick at all, and they let Syndra get way too out of hand. But KT is a final favorite imo, so TL didn't do too horribly. Same can be said about C9…Uzi is just on another level.

EU poppin off though. I really like Vitality's aggression, and imo it's the only way to beat a korean team. If you try to play the long game you'll just get suffocated like the TL game. G2 just cheesed, I doubt they'll get lucky again.

Let's see how FNC does tomorrow, but I think we'll definitely have some NA/EU teams in knockouts.

The bo5's are another story though...NA/EU are just not used to series, and tend to try the same failing macro strat 3 losses in a row, rather than adapting to the other team throughout the series
