Game actually doesn't seem to look all that bad or run all that horribly on the low powered PS4Pro so it should run pretty well on the next gen systems. Damn shame it'll take them so long to get it out. Most console folks will probably not be able to wait and play the chit current gen version.

Console plebs will be fine, I played RDR2 on launch day on a base launch ps4 and enjoyed the hell out of it, was in awe of the graphics even if it was 1080p/30fps . I have it on my high end PC now but its too late, dont really feel like replaying it even if it looks way better.

PS4 version does look alright tbh , but it's a tough sell to play it at those settings after seeing how good the PC version is.

Can someone confirm/deny if you buy a PS4 version now, do you get a free upgrade to PS5 version, not just enhanced backwards compatibility?

Mirin', but I'll be happy with my 2080ti and 1440p. Too soon since I bought it to upgrade and the boost is nice, but not a game changer enough for me to bother.

The game world looks amazing, but I'm honestly really disappointed this is a slower RPG and not very FPS or action-oriented. Any tips how I can get into an RPG mindset? They just tend to be too slow and dull for me.

Same. Running the Razer Raptor 27" 1440p 144hz with high color gamut. With ray tracing, and how far I sit from it, it'll look amazing enough for me to enjoy.

Looks like it can be as FPS as you want it to be, just go in blasting every time.

But to get into the mind set, for me it's interest in the world and story, and wanting to learn more about it use the choices I make to shape it. Help one group gain dominance, hunt down the gang you do not like, ect. It's a personal investment to the game world and how it takes shape.

Haven't been this hyped for a game in a long time.

Steam CP2077 preorder = check
ASUS TUF 155hz 1440p monitor = check
Gigabyte Aero 15X 1070 MaxQ = check
Logitech Proteus Spectrum mouse = check

Anyone heard about a pre-load period yet? There has got to be one cos the steam servers will be overloaded on 10th Dec otherwise.

You can't. If it's not your thing it's not your thing. I've tried to like RPGs too many times. And I can get through the good ones but it's not a style of game I will enjoy at the highest of levels. Surely hope CP will be less RPG like than the Witcher.

Cyberpunk is definitely more RPG than the Witcher if going by previews seem to suggest.





Personally as a RPG fan, i'm incredibly glad they're doubling down on it ..... But good point here, if you cant get into a certain type of game it's almost impossible to do so .... Just sometimes depends on the right mixture of the game/time and you might feel it click, but there's no hard set rule how to enjoy a certain genre.




The thing I've found with RPG's is that it tests your patience, so many games I'd have disregarded if I didnt have enough patience for it, but if you can stick through its very rewarding ... Of course it's not always the case, but for the most part its always worked like that for me. Would have never discovered Persona 5 and Divinity 2 if I didnt stick with them.







Also read some news that Cyberpunk will have cross saves between old gen and current gen. Thats some good news, but disappointing because I was hoping there would be cross saves between Consoles and PC.

Try having an immersion mindset. Pretend it's "you" in the game - the FPS perspective should really help in that regard. Your background and actions will have meaningful consequences and affect gameplay down the road. Even if there's not much action going on you should get a kick out of seeing how you're impacting characters and events in the world.

All points to the game being pretty slow paced, but I'm sure people will be able to go Rambo. Doing so will have consequences beyond just being wanted by law enforcement, though.

Got a huge, full desk sized CP2077 mousepad on the way lol.

Also, if anyone likes reading lore behind games, I can't recommend 'The World of Cyberpunk 2077' book enough. On sale now on Amazon and sets you up real well for playing the game, with background to night city/weapons/groups/how stuff got so messed up etc
