the white one is pretty cool looking. Why don't you add the trade value into the body of the post so other members don't have to pm you low ball offers to find out what you are looking for.

Gars, how are you enjoying the 372, having owned a PAM with so many complications in the 233? The 372 will be my next acquisition.

It's a keeper. I'm happy with those two; being so different. Different in size, different in vintage indices color, different in complications vs base/simple. Both have the dome, that's all.

But, specifically regarding the 372, I'd always thought the pics of those that I saw were the very best Panerai pics, but couldn't put a finger on why. Still can't, but it's pretty awesome.

I am not a fan of blue on watches. I think this is faddish and hard to match.

At the price point you are looking at, I would rather get a Tag Monaco or Monza with black dial. I would put Tag on par with Omega. The Omega above looks very sterile and does not have a good design.

My max budget is $10K if needed, but I'd ideally like to spend anywhere from $6-8K. Where would you guys suggest is the best place for me to find one in "like new" condition? I don't want anything too old, so anything after 2009 is preferable. I'm not a watch enthusiast by any means so any additional information or recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Congrats on hitting an upcoming double milestone.

Sounds like a good watch is just what you need with your new job and hitting the 3 0.

You listed the older model two tone sub with hollow links and alumunium bezel insert. You mentioned your max is $10k. I think you should get a NEW watch to commemorate your achievements as a NEW one can be had near your max budget.

However, I highly encourage you to get the black dial variant as blue looks rather tacky and casual for my liking. Do try them on and do consider NEW.

I would check Rolexforums to see if there are any "Trusted Sellers" that have 1 available, and then I would check Chrono24 to see what price are like worldwide. Frankly, I think most of the TrustSellers offer outrageous prices. I havent seen 1 listing for a 2nd hand AP from any of those trusted sellers that made me think "o wow thats a really good price". Their prices are basically what I can get new after VAT-Back, except I could get it as brand new from the AD. So I would definitely make a counter offer and not just accept their listed price.

Another thing for you to consider is that if this is your only watch (since you said youre not a watch enthusiast), you may not want a gold watch (or even a 2-tone). But its all up to you.

Would you mind informing me what is so good about Omega?

For me it's a mass brand and rather ugly. The Monaco/ Monza is better looking by a long shot.

Not an Omega fanboy by a LONG SHOT. Only own 1 vintage Speedmaster.
There are far better makers quality-wise. (Although I do love the Co-Axial escapement, which is a pretty decent step-forward).

Finishing on Tudor are pretty equal (even better for some) and brands like Oris go one step further.

But TAG is absolute **** quality and looks-wise and heritage-wise. ****ing TAG destroyed the Heuer brand.

Monaco: Those ****ing pushers. Putting coffin-pushers on a sportswatch must have been the slowest Idea ever.
Not to mention the ****ing movement. A ****ing ETA basic with a DD module on it? And calling it 'inhouse'?'

The Monza (which was a PVD Carrera cased Auto-chrono with cal 12 or 15 in the Heuer days) they make a bloated Tonneau-square case with ****ing cathedral hands on some versions? Way too ruin a great name.

Just **** off outta here TAG, never in my life would I buy one.

Not as bad as my other TAG-rants.

Have handled TAG nd owned Omega and TAG are pieces of ****. We're not saying Omega is the god of watch brands, simply that they're superior to TAG.

I'm guessing you go purely off what you find aesthetically appealing and not had much experience with a timepieces movement and finishing.
