As if the Jeremy Renner fanboy wasn't enough lol, now we get this guy…

Your posts remind me of that Abe quote "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

I own many Omega and some Heuer, and I've actually had a TAG Monaco CW2113. Would not recommend the TAG Monaco. Would not recommend TAG. Modern Omega isn't top luxury, but to put it "on par with Heuer" is pretty ignorant. Not sure if you should be giving people recommendations when it comes to watches

Good lord. The 21st iteration of this fool. In before he's banned again, and again. Oh, and negged.

What the hell did you just say about modern omega not being acceptable as luxury?

And I don't like TAG either. Sorry if my opinion of a lot of Rolex and Omega's current lineups aren't that great hurts some peoples feelings I guess, or maybe that brands like Oris are good tool watches but not luxury watches.

thought on the BLNR? Personally i think it will be pretty collectable. being first iteration of a bi-color ceramic bezel by anyone, and the first blue/black bezel by Rolex. with that said tho i dont think any single person can be the judge of what a "worthy" or "true" collection is. if someone gathers things through out their life, and those things bring them joy and happyness whether its in the possession of said item, or the hunt to aquire it, it has served its purpose to the collector, and fits into that persons collection. I dont think anyone can really decide whether or not they're worth having or not just based on what the piece is.

Kid, let me help you out. Your thoughts are unpopular here because you are a dick and your "thoughts" are nothing but the 're-write' from a few bad blogs. Pretty simple really. Now, go outside and play.

Sure they've made improvements too like better bracelets, but this new image of rolex has just killed it for me with the new watches. They are upsizing them too unfortunately. A 41mm datejust is just unbuyable to me. The reality is they're doing that because theyre marketing them to average joes who want something big that they can wave around and show off, rather than a subtle 36mm that appeases the true watch aficionado.

I'm purely talking about horological value, I'm not saying the watches are garbage or anything but… the current lineup does not show much of what the rolex heritage actually is.

thoughts on breitling? I just bought myself a super avenger II. Doesn't really seem like breitling gets much love in this thread. I thought it looked quite a bit more masculine than the tags and omegas.

Breitling is not very respected. They are more of a bling bling watch. They also use ETA.

Cliffs:
-Lots of ghetto people like them.
-Outsource some movements, making their watches overpriced to ****.
-Too much polishing.

most of them are a little large for my personal liking, the dials a bit too busy and the bracelets aren't symmetrical but all of that is subjective to your own taste. i like the navitimer alot and that thing has a ton of stuff on the dial. i also think the super ocean looks pretty cool.

some other models are a bit blingy with the fully polished cases, etc, and they have become somewhat affiliated with the hip-hop and rap community which is a big turn off to some people.

none of that matters tho, if you like it, then wear it. I think people fall into the trap of buying things purely because they're expensive, which gives the idea of luxury, but they dont know much about them, or even really like them, which is when you find yourself asking "is this any good" after you already bought it. at least that's the impression i get when i hear people ask questions like that after a purchase.

if you look down at your wrist and say "man that looks nice, i really like that" and you feel happy even if its a ****ing 30 dollar timex then who gives a **** what anyone else says or thinks about it.

I agree ln TAG vs Omega. But modern Omega does rustle me in their design choices. There's maybe 2 pieces in any Omega boutique I even care to look at. My white with blue accents Aqua Terra is my only semi modern Omega.

Been wearing this daily lately. Has dat soul that I feel modern Omega is losing.

Reminds me of the style/fashion thread, pre and post purchases; too many "what are your thoughts on this jacket?" and "just copped these shoes… thoughts?", and not nearly enough "WIWT:" and "check these out:" - TBF, I ought to contribute more. If you like it, buy it and own it. No need to ask some forum for permission, over and over again.

Nothing wrong with seeking advice here and there, but it gets to the point where [some] people won't wear or do anything without approval from the so-called gurus… But as soon as they're questioned about it, they play the "I do what I want, when I want." card.

I have an avenger skyland and a superocean II right now, and have owned maybe 5-6 total in the past. They've been well built and reliable. They are flashy though, which can be a good or bad thing depending on how you feel about that.

don't get me wrong, I love it and preferred the looks to it over everything else <$6k I looked at. Was just curious as to why I didn't see breitling mentioned in the OP in this thread.

Breitling's gaudier works like the ultra blingy navitimers are just terrible. But they also make some very, very nice pieces with a decent history. Some of their cheaper divers are great for the price when you go grey market with them. Fit and finish on them are superb.

Thanks for awaring me to this brand. I love the look of those (and the one with the cream dial) and they're comparatively a lot less expensive than I expected based on a quick Google search. Might be a new goal watch for me (a $2500 watch is still quite pricey at my price range but soon.jpeg)

Have wanted to buy one for years. For one reason or another, everytime I was in the market for it, I stumbled upon something else. This time I said, I am not buying a watch at all unless it is a speedy.

You guys seem so knowledgeable here. How many years experience have you had in the game? And what is the extent of your watch ownership?

If you think Omega is really that good, I've got some bad news for you.

It is a commodotized watch they anyone in a white collar job can afford, or aspire to afford. Both Tag and Omega fall in the category tier far below Rolex, which is the entry point to great watches in my opinion.

It all really depends on demographic you fall into for watches. For me, TAG and Omega are the same. They are both average watches.

And lol at your watches wisdom here.

After having owned 400+ luxury watches over the past few years and having handled a lot more, I'm fairly confident I can form a well-informed opinion, boy.

You tackle your own arguments in your argument. As if the Rolex demographic is any less plebeian than Omega's and Tag's.

Lol at your neg. Butthurt much

Come at me amateurs.

Rolex is a higher tier than Omega. By far. You have given away your poverty status and amateurish game in watches by your very arrogant and ignorant post. You win the Internet.

And for aspiring watch fans, please do not limit yourself to Omega. They are butt ugly. Take a look.

I've been wearing watches above Omega for over 15 years young guy.
