I can get my hands on a brand new Gibson Slash Les Paul. If I wanted to resell this, how much could I get?

Still in the beginning phases of using the FM3 but dang this is an awesome piece of kit. The amp tones and feel are a step up from the Axe FX II, not a crazy leap as the II is still a great unit, but I would say a tangible, objective improvement. The amp tones seems a bit more raw and unrefined than the II in a good way, more dynamic and more responsive.
With the II I tended to use two main amps - the 100Watt Plexi and the Triptik Modern. But with the FM3 Cygnus algorithms I'm finding quite a few of factory presets fun and useable even without adjustments.
The color screen is definitely an upgrade from the military green lcd screen of the II and it's substantially easier to edit on the unit - although still kind of daunting tbh.
I think one could build a really awesome sound around this unit for live playing. It's super sturdy and has a solid I/O selection.
Edit: The more I play with the FM3 the more I like it. The amp models sound and feel killer and the effects are superb. The CPU apparently can't handle dual amps but in a single signal chain it has a fair amount of room for adding effects and other processes. The editing software is also nice.

That's a nice tone and similar to what I have dialed in with my tube + modeling hybrid setup.
I run the volume with an Andy Timmons style treble bleed low and roll it up when I want more juice. However that's a 23x11" board. Being able to put the FM3 in a small backpack and play anywhere is tough to beat.

Yeah using the FM3 with a Seymour Duncan PS170 and a 20lb DV Mark 2x12 feels like the future in terms of portable sound.

What's your opinion of Nuno? The more I listen to his chit the closer I put him to actual EVH level in terms of skill. His solos are similarly hard to learn imo. I'm still kinda wrestling with his solo from Bill And Ted's Excellent Adventure.
Nuno is still a guitar GOD. Some excerpts off his work for Lost Symphony:
Current chit, dude remains awesome.

Kemper is for sale (if anyone is interested). Got this on the way. Needing something that can handle more routing for more outputs and microphone processing and most likely our singer's guitar as well. From what I've heard, it also could run our bass player's signal too but he's ripping on an Ampeg SVT so he's good.
I'm in line for an FM9 but I'd rather have a smaller floor footprint if possible and if I do get called up to buy an FM9 soon, I may still grab it and then flip it on Reverb.

If money is no object I'd rather have the Axe III with a foot controller. Everything else is a compromise. Not everyone is going to need that extra DSP horsepower but it's certainly nice to have for dual amp stereo rigs and for more advanced routing like you mentioned.
Just my 2 cents but I'd rather have everything expensive locked away in a rack case especially for playing live. I cringe at how much I've dumped into a pedalboard and I'm considering moving it all to a rack case with a tray for pedals to sit under an effects rack unit I still use and having a switcher on the floor that controls it all.

Petrucci with his stack of Mesa amps in stereo and racks of gear doesn't miss a trick when it comes to cashing in.
Edit: this must be selling like hotcakes. That doubler setting with some bite and tightness dialed in already sounds like his tone.

I'm not a huge fan of the racks especially a 3U rack size like the Axe FX III, the smaller footprint of the FM3 is great for me.

For a lot of players, it’s the same reason why you would use two different speakers in a cabinet or two different microphones when recording. You just get more of the sonic spectrum that way.
When our band recorded with Rick Beato in Atlanta a while back he always uses 2 amps for tracking guitars and blends them together. Always something with a Marshall type voice and always something with a Mesa or a Soldano type voice. You can blend as much or as little of both and the end result is absolutely an enormous and full sound.
The quad Cortex and AxeFX are powerful enough to run multiple amps and cabinets simultaneously and some bands use one of these devices for both guitar players or even two guitar players and a bass player all getting their own separate signal path.
Our hope is that both me and our singer can have a guitar amp signal path and vocal processing for both of us as well as each of us getting our own FC 6 foot controller to use during the performance. If it can pull that off, and from everything I’ve read it can if you know how to set it all up, that will be insane.

Super quick impression of the Axe FX is that I literally instantly dialed up an extremely usable tone. I pulled a Friedman small box, marshall 4x12 with greenbacks, hall reverb and a tiny bit of plex delay. Reminds me of a fatter/smoother version of my 2550 Jubilee.
The sheer amount of cab/mic combinations is overwhelming though. They sound SO much better than the cab/mic options in the Helix. With the helix, it's practically mandatory you have to use good IR's but when you do, the results are awesome but the sheer amount of things you can tweak on everything with the axe fx is INSANE.

Posted a number of months ago letting you guys know George Lynch is building me a custom guitar. Super excited he texted me, it's nearly complete. I'm having him make me a new neck though cause I didn't like the inlays. Originally he said that he was gonna do dot inlays on this build with a feather inlay at the 12th, which is what I wanted.
This will be my first guitar with a Floyd Rose. I've been trying to get an idea of his sense of phrasing when improvising. It's tough getting an idea of the outside notes he chooses to imploy when he solos, really tricky to use right without sounding off key.

Audacity is fine as with other somewhat limited free recording programs. (Cakewalk by Bandlab is far more involved but I've been with Cakewalk since 1994)
But…. ALL music recording programs have their place.
One isn't necessarily better than the other….they're all just different .
I'd suggest one tries all the demo programs prior to purchase and see which one you feel has the most intuitive GUI and fits your particular work flow.
Then….dig in for the long haul as they all have a learning curve.
Hope that helps….
