So there I was, about to drive one hour for (back then) one of my grails for a really good price (they went for €600-800 all the time back then), and he asks me if I want it even cheaper. "Hell yeah!" and off I went. It's been with me ever since

I always buy below market value, some way below, including many of my prime pieces. It's a matter of patience and watching the right markets, although I think in the US, you'll usually have to pay more since many of the markets are bigger/more global and people are more price-aware. I bought mine from a one-watch man, who just bought a new one and had no use for his SMP anymore, with no real clue of its current value, he just knew what he paid back in the day.
Ah that helps.

I mean I think a Quartz omega had always been fine. No one ever really bashed a quality Quartz movement.

If the oysterquartz didn't sit funny on the wrist I'd totally own one, it's from a neat part of watch history. I mean think about it. That was Rolex, the powerhouse of watches, flinching at the Quartz revolution. Rolex showing a faint hint of fear, of following the crowd. I mean, it's also them using the most modern and revolutionary technology.

Edit:

Here's those straps. All 20mm. First come first serve, obviously.

I'd prefer to sell all five of the natos as one set for $40.

Black worn and wound strap- $50
Brown leather strap-$40
Tan rally strap, hand made-$60

Here's some fine print. If you want just the two leather natos I'd sell those for $24, and if you just want the three nylon natos they're yours for $22.

OR BUY THEM ALL FOR $175

It's an $80 watch you got for $80. They lure the uninitiated in with these blowout sales, but it's just a gimmick.

Lol good luck, they heavily increased in price. Nowadays they run €2-2.5k easily.

That's pretty chitty for a new watch. It must have been built a while ago and just been ticking away for over a year before you bought it. That is best case scenario IMO (assuming it is out of warranty).

So did my quartz tissot. I can only assume it was in the shop for a while before I bought it, probably with the chrono on too
