If there are many many simulated realities for every true reality, then chances are that we are in a simulated reality. If the assumptions I posted in a previous post hold, then this is true.
From Bockstrom:
1. "The fraction of human-level civilizations that reach a posthuman stage (that is, one capable of running high-fidelity ancestor simulations) is very close to zero", or
2. "The fraction of posthuman civilizations that are interested in running ancestor-simulations is very close to zero", or
3. "The fraction of all people with our kind of experiences that are living in a simulation is very close to one"
which of those do you believe is true?

i dont believe its a simulation. i believe humans are attaching meaning to something that isn't there.
the molecules don't move according to how we'd like; any meaning we attach to it is a mental construct we've attached to it ourselves.
we can maybe manipulate it in so far as what we know about it
but our brains simply evolved as a tool to help us within our environment. our environment has been replaced with things that didn't used to be there; almost don't provide enough satiety (for what it's wired for) and we get thoughts like this.
logic is a mental construct

Here's what some people call a bug in class Physics of WorldSimulator.java (dry humor for my CS brahs)

you seem to be operating under the pretense that this "simulation" is for sure
there are a lot of disturbing thoughts about this stuff. it can even go so far as the ego being an illusion brought on by language; which gives questions to consciousness
there are anti-materialist theories that result from that.
a lot of stupid chit mayne; some of it's impossible to talk about without the requisite knowledge of quantum mechanics.
for anti-materialist theories, there was a harvard study that proved that neurons within the head can't act as fast as the speed of light.

We are not living in a simulation or a hologram. We simply can only perceive a few dimensions of the many that exist, similar to how a hologram looks 3D but is actually 2D, we only see a 4D representation of a universe that has as many as 11 dimensions.
Technically he is correct in saying that we wont be able to tell a difference between real input from out senses vs artificial in the near future, but come on man. Stop trying to blow the minds of average people with wrong information.
