a two plate bench is not a big deal (no disrespect)

even for the smaller guys

I'm not hating if thats where ur at
but you should be setting your sights towards 3 plate at least
unless you are a girl or sub 150lbs bodyweight

2 plate bench is normal, but always feels great the first few times you do it.

I do. My only set under 200 is my first warm up at 185. Usually work up to 275 for a few reps. You'll get there OP, beat them triceps up

Manlet checking in with 2 plate bench for reps, NBD. I'd love the 1/2/3/4 club (ohp/bench/squat/dead), OHP and deadlift have the most work to do to get there. Considering 1 plate is almost body weight for me, the OHP will be brutal.

Just did 210 x 12, aiming for 225 for that amount. Been up to 320 before, but that was at about 22% bf. It's much harder to get when you're at a lower BF%.

miscers are going to lie but the truth is if you can bench 225 for at least 6 reps that is very impressive I train at a lot of different gyms and I would say about 1 percent of gym members can bench 4 plates.

No e stating here. Surprised how much my weight effects my bunch but not a whole lot on my other lifts.

For last 3 years I was on a dreamers bulk. Didn't care was just enjoying food. But still went gym 5x week but was fat AF. I'm 5'9 got up to 275 lbs. my bench was 355 for 5-6 reps.

Decided I was unhealthy when I was chasing my kids and got winded within 25 seconds.

Dieted for 8 months from 275 all the way down to 165.. My bench went from 355 for reps to 155 for like 3.. Not even joking. Over the last month I decided I was little to light now and am back up to 175 with prob 12% bf and my bench has gone back up from 155 for 3 to 225 for 6.

So it's leveling out now my body is now depleted on a diet. Still feel AF in gym compared to how I used to lift

We talking incline, decline or flat?
295 Decline
235 incline

I don't know what my flat is. I stopped doing it years ago. Probably somewhere in between. Took me a long time to hit 2 plates though- I'm built like slenderman and started lifting after recovering from a surgery that had me at 160lb.

Just keep at it OP. Know your goals too. There are lots of guys that rep 225 and look like garbage and lots of guys that can't and look ripped as fuq.

That will take a lot of serious dedication and commitment. Do it.
It'd be like staying fat while running marathons because it's more impressive to finish a marathon when you're overweight. It might be impressive in the short run, but in the long run it just doesn't make any sense. ~breathinglife
