I'm curious to see how many MISCers can actually do this.

Edit: I'm new, and I haven't gotten there yet. Probably should be there by now. Been working out for 6 months. Almost there though.

Don't do flat bench anymore, but still hit incline and close grip on flat.

I know, but I'm curious, even though it's a consierablly easy lift for actual lifters, to see how many MISCers actually can.

Should have made it a poll but this OP.

I'm a manlet and I started repping (5+reps) >200lbs for bench when I was 140lbs and that's not even considered impressive at all.. at least make it 225

At least make it 225. Nobody that lifts would use 200 as any sort of reference point. But I agree with the guy that said it should be 315.

I can rep 225+ easily. 315 seems like something that only strong people can do, unless they are just huge to begin with.

I quit doing bench press in favor of DB press.

I do 3 sets of 5 with 105's, so technically I guess I meet your criteria.
Many Christmases ago, I went to buy a doll for my son. I reached for the last one they had, but so did another man. As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way.

225 is there for everyone who takes the gym and nutrition semi seriously or has good genetics. 315 is the true mark of strength. I can hit 285 for 1.

Little over a year ago, I would've been IN. Then, I strained or slightly tore my right pec shooting shotguns and had to take 2 separate 2-3 month breaks in benching for recovery. That and dropping 30-40lbs in bodyweight has kept me back.

i will say that as recently as 2014 I was stuck at like 165-175 for reps of 3 or 4. working with a coach got me to 225 within a month of that time and since then i've continued to go up. form is everything on bench.

I think I have a mental block or something... I've heard of guys who finally made it to 225 for reps, after a huge stall, and after they hit the 225 mark they made it to 275 in no time at all...

I'm hoping I'll be like that.

I don't lift heavy anymore really I just focus on squeezing and hypertrophy. Moderate weight high volume.

225x23 on flat bench
225x16 on incline (much slower than flat and pulse at the bottom)

You mean like...to get the muscle ready for the actual work load..or?..

Ok, not really that strong. But easily over this.
First week of new training cycle this week and light bench day was 2 x 8 @ 215 wide grip / 2 x 8 @ 205 close grip.

Granted, I have manlet ROM so I'm a cheater.

This is true. My BP was going nowhere until I figured out how to really dig the traps into the bench and actually engage the chest.
