Dont bother bro. Just like the other guy said just sand em flat and plastikote them if you really have to.

Plastikote better than paint in that situation i think because fairings are kinda flexible

Did you solve your idling issues?

If you have no experience riding a motorcycle than the ninja is a perfect choice.. I might look into a ninja 300 instead though just for being on the freeway you have the extra 50cc. I wouldn't add any mods to it though because 6 months down the road you're going to want a 600 or above. Sell it on Craigslist and try to get what you paid for out of it.
