Get a new doctor. You are obviously balding, what is the point of waiting for finasteride if you are going to use it eventually anyway? My situation is much less than yours, the back of my head is just a little thinner than other parts and the hair on the sides is pretty receded and my derma prescribed me fin and some shampoo that isn't the one you got but also works for baldness.

Edit: Actually my shampoo must be generic nizoral.
