lol if you factor in 2% inflation (reasonable assumption if you assume your corporate bond is 5%), that's only 12,000 a year in today's money, and you can't add the 8k to it because then you will be getting gradually less and less

Absolutely no point at all. But he lives independently so therefore cannot afford to save like you can.

I would also point out that yours is a life of existence, rather than living. You seem to be constantly looking to the future and obsessing over money rather than living in the moment. Meanwhile time and life is passing you by.

You see this all the time on tv programmes like hoarders. People with money but at what cost?

It's very likely you will die alone surrounded by a mountain of cardboard and saved newspapers, with a million pounds in the bank.

Anyway - we all know this is a troll thread. Even the most autistic recluse can't scrape by on 125 per week.

My weekend = Pick up scotch, beer, cigars, weed, 200 litres of fuel, food, ammo = $1000 for a couple days out fishing and hunting with the boys, do this all the time, or take my HBB gf away for a few days to a nice spot = $2000+

No full time job just go work when I need money, not rich but still have 5 figures in the bank at all times haven't worked in 2 months.

GJ op. I was making 45k gross while living at home. Moved out when I could afford to buy my own place at 26. I know misc is all about being independent and banging sloots at your own place when you turn 18. But trust me, when you move into late 20's territory, sloots would prefer it if you werent still living in a shared apartment with your other lates 20's housemates who all made equally bad financial decisions early on in life.

Not as good as yours obviously, but I am FA so don't have people to do that with...

On the Saturday I worked in the day, came home and watched the Wales rugby game with some red wine and then watched a Denzel film with some Jasmine Rice and Katsu curry.

On the Sunday I also worked in the day but finished earlier so went for a 10km run straight after and then had a couple glasses of Chivas Regal on ice whilst playing 5 hours of Fifa 17 on my 50 inch gaming TV (PS4)

I earn good money for my age I guess (took home like.. 50-55k last year before tax and i'm 27), and my missus takes home about 18k a year. I'm a smart guy but i'm shocking with money if i'm honest. I have **** all savings, a little debt to pay off, but i do live well. I buy what i want and I also have a decent car (e92 330i which had 20k on the clock when i bought it). Some people just suck with money, although since budgeting i have done better and i put away about 800 a month whilst buying whatever the **** i want with the rest of my money.

Also if you put 375 of your 500 a week on savings, i guess you live with your parents... that makes things 10x easier... 1.1-1.2k a month of my money goes on my place and bills. If i lived with my parents I would be able to put 2k a month away easily... honestly, bragging about having a 5 series whilst living at home is just lol :/ Not even trying to rag on you but it's a whole different ball game when you have to make your own way in the world.. if i lived with my parents rent free i'd be driving a ****ing ferrari. Not everyone has the option to live with mommy and daddy, it doesn't make them stupid or poverty. This kind of just feels like a brag post to brag about your car which is honestly nothing special :S Honestly your self righteous attitude about saving money when you live at home with your parents is fkin sickening

I worked with a guy who drove BMW. I knew what he made and thought to myself "There is no chance he can afford that on his salary alone". And I wasn't the only one thinking that.

He's irresponsible with his money yeah, but you live at home and earn 35k a year so probably shouldn't be judging other people based on your personal circumstances. It's like being 200lbs and on gear and laughing at the skinny kid who's struggling to bench 135lbs, even though he may well be doing things wrong, you've just got it easy.

Why do you even care what he does with his money?

Yes in my opinion everyone should save some money just to have a safety net when something ''bad'' happens. Other than that it's up to everyone emself to decide if they wanna blow their money or make it their goal to save as much money as they can.

With money it's finding the balance in living right now, while also thinking about the future.
