No diagnosis but I'm petrified of the possibility.

For the past 6 years or so I've been chitting blood on and off. It stopped for about 6 months until the other day, which is idiotically the first time I've ever taken it seriously. I even made a thread in 2014 after I diarrhea'd blood and made a joke out of it. Colon cancer has always been in the back of my mind, but I made excuses and said it was an anal fissure from straining or hemorrhoids.

Realistically, it's a very good possibility. Colon cancer is slow moving and can grow inside people for decades without showing symptoms. I could be in stage IV by now.

Lately I've read horror stories of 20something year old healthy people being diagnosed with colon cancer after experiencing the same symptoms I am.

I chit blood.

I have stomach pain when I feel bloated.

My chit has been loose more often than explainable.

I've lost weight (but I did stop working out)

I feel weak and light headed daily.

I've been getting minor headaches and one migraine over the past month.

I feel dumber and have trouble concentrating when reading, for example.

All of these are symptoms of, among dozens of other things, cancer. I haven't seen any doctors yet because I have no insurance, but I feel like I have an inner intuition that it's true.

Even though colon cancer is an old people's disease and doesn't run in my family, the symptoms are too real to ignore any longer.

I'm afraid.

I'm afraid to go to a doctor because I can't afford medical bills with no insurance. Im afraid of being dismissed for being a hypochondriac because I'm young. I'm afraid of having a selfie stick shoved up my ass by an old man aka a colonoscopy. I'm afraid of painkillers that will sedate me. I'm afraid to hear the diagnosis. I'm afraid of surgery. I'm afraid of chemo that is basically just poisoning yourself hoping the tumor will die before you. I'm afraid of leaving my loved ones.

I'm afraid to die.

Eh dont fret OP. Normal general Dr.s don't know **** about anything besides cold / flu common ****

you need to talk to a specialist. Dr.'s need to cover there own ass so they will always send you to a specialist if there is even a 1% chance. If you went to the dr. and he said you were cool and then got cancer your great grandkids would be going to college for free

I'll try bro. I guess by testing positive on that chit test though I went from having like a .001% chance of having colon cancer to a 4% chance. Still low, but it doesn't look great for me. At least I'm not anemic. That would've been a tell tale sign.

You're fine. Age is on your side. I'm not a doctor, but I think you might have Crohn's disease.

I'm so thankful for my youth, but terrified of being robbed of it. Crohn's is possible. I will keep this thread updated.



A FIT test for occult blood in stool. I basically chit on a piece of paper and poked it with a plastic stick 10 times, then put it in a tube with liquid and sent it to the lab. Came back positive for blood. On the one hand this isn't a surprise, but what trips me up is that the chit I tested was brown and showed no sign of blood. Scares the fk outta me.

Not sure if this thread is srs. You need to see a gi specialist and i bet the doc is gonna schedule a colonoscopy with all these symptoms. You also have been losing a lot of blood through your gut and need blood work to evaluate for anemia. Stay safe

UPDATE

There's a decent chance I have stage IV colon cancer with metastasis into my liver.

I still haven't seen a doctor yet, but the last 3 days every single one of my chits have been bloody. Usually light red, but this morning I had a dark red bloody chit. Then I chit again and there was no blood, but my bowel movement was literally white, close to like a pale clay color. From everything I read, pale feces is more of a warning sign than blood and usually signals liver failure or blockage in the colon that prevents stomach bile from doing its job. Now my stomach hurts and is cramping where my liver is located...

The symptoms line up too much to not be a fukking tumor. I'm so scared.

I really don't want to die, misc.

Update because this is my original thread and some poor soul in my shoes might be reading this in a few years...

I got a colonoscopy done completely unsedated and a large polyp was removed from my colon. Sent to the lab to see if it was precancerous or benign, but no cancer. I just have to get a colonoscopy every couple years now for the rest of my life because I'm now considered high risk. Sucks but I'm alive and well, and happy.

The polyp was big af and getting irritated when I took a chit. The doctor said he saw it that it was the cause and now I should be good. There was actually blood all over the inside of my lower colon from this son of a bitch leaking. So no IBS or crohn's.
