BRB driving down to the local track in my Dodge Demon just to get kicked out after my first pass because I ran 9.xx with out a roll cage.

Motortrend, Car and Driver etc are all like Demon is Bugatti, 918, P1 territory at fraction of price.

How can you phucking compare demon to any of those cars.

Demon does only one thing and that's going in straight line with 100 octane, skinny front radials, drag radials.

BRB buying GTR and putting in Switzer 1000 hp kit and saying yeah well GTR is just as fast as 918.

Still waiting for Hennessy to release the Camaro Exorcist and blow Dodge out of the water.

Ever since fiat came into the picture I feel like they've been doing nothing but pumping up the dodge brand so bad that it's becoming more watered down than hot wheels

Hell cats are going for below 60k, not that expensive. There is also two keys that can be used(I'm sure you know) to make it practical as a daily driver.

I mean I still wouldn't call it "practical" but definitely a lot better. And 60k is still probably out of my price range considering you can get just under 500hp in the scat pack for 20k.

The Demon has 315 wide tires stock, fender flares to accommodate them. A hood scoop that no other flavor Challenger has. The sound, the stance, the tires, the wheels.

I would agree between Hellcat and Scatpack they are hard to distinguish and even now they have a v-6 Scatpak called something else. Further they have another sub model coming out that looks like a Hellcat (to take over scatpak's).

Fiat is a gloppy mess right now with distinguishing the sub models I would agree however, the Demon looks vastly different IMO.

The older models were too boxy and wind would get under and around all the square design of it. I like my newer model, but one issue I've had with both Jeep srts and my 300 srt before that was the front end goes out of alignment....Alot! My tires are always wearing odd and it rides really Rocky

there is no performance figures on stock front tires and rear....

the demon comes with crate that has skinny front tires for drag strip lol.

brb at stop light gotta go change my front tires so I can drag race

to compare this to 918 is laughable

of course murica!

I couldn't agree more. Today at work, I was speaking of this exact point to my coworker who drives a challenger RT. I drive a Mustang GT 5.0 and part of his bragging statement was that the car was so fast it got banned from drag racing or whatever. I couldn't stop laughing and I told him it actually got banned because of safety issues. That's not something to go on bragging about.

Yeah sorry boyos. FCA, an Italian company for those of you out of the loop, owns dodge. Just like how they say the hellcat has 707 horsepower but dynos at 640 on a good day. Unlike Germans that underrate their power, until we see unbiased owners show the true 1/4th time I wouldn't believe the 9.7 time. Most non-car people dont understand how hard it is to get that number. Remember the end model veyrons with 1400 HP got mid 9s and weighed about the same without the aerodynamics of a block.

Very Possible.

There is rumor Demon on 100 octane is 1000 hp which makes sense considering GTR's, Gallardo, 911's need 1000-1300 hp to run 9.6's with Toyo R888 or Hoosier.

To do it with 850 hp and over 4000+ pounds....

That being said Dodge knows how to build race cars, Viper ACR is absolute beast.
