I used to work for an RV dealership. Driving them is easy because larger ones have side and rear cameras. Sounds like your covered for air brakes.

An RV that size should have 2 ac's, 1 will not cool it down. Tires are expensive to replace. Diesels are ideal but the V10's have plenty of power.

This is a great idea if you are young and can afford to do it. I thought about doing it in retirement and making extra money by pulling a roach coach.

If I was going to be single and in the military for an extended period of time I'd do this absolutely. Instant boost to take home income and it's still 100000x better than any barracks living lol

nice job OP

it does have the cameras, it is a diesel and air brakes. It has the conventional vehicle a/c that blows from the vents in the cab, and the basement A/C, so it blows from the floor, not the ceiling.

it is pretty popular among military guys. Single and geo-bachelors. There is a guy in my company living in one with his wife and two kids. field grade. Making money man.

in the toilet and in the shower. It has tanks for when you are not hooked up, but I plan on being hooked up most of the time. I know you can't keep the black tank open. I was told with just me by myself, I probably have to open it once every two weeks, spray it down and call it good. The gray tanks can stay open when you are hooked up.

Gas is not relevant as it is not required to use as long as I have a lot.

You have to look long term. At most I have to spend 1K/month on loan payment, lot, insurance.

I will put down at least 2k/month, closer to 3.

and in the long run, when my **** is paid off, it will literally be the lot cost alone. 300 bucks a month to have a place to live on my income.......

yeah bro, I win. you can't argue that.
Hey I think it's cool to live in an RV but the financial logic doesn't make sense.

An RV is a depreciating asset. A house and land are not. So you could be paying a grand a month for a house and a lot and have an appreciating asset. And when that's paid off it's paid off as well.

You can't move a house like an RV and that's the motivating factor for an RV but yea financially, no there's no argument for that.

Did you buy it new? A quick search says RV sales are on the rise, unfortunately looks like they pump those things out of the factory as fast as they can make em. Did you look at the resale value? If you get lucky, you might only lose the equivalent of a land transfer tax and realtor fee. I thought about doing this like 10 years ago, considering rent, it's not a bad idea. I like it.

Also, dis u??
