Hope you enjoy your 250 square feet of poverty on wheels lmao. RV's are cool but would not live in one for more than a couple weeks at a time.

it is becoming more common, especially with single guys. Why spend my housing allowance on renting a house? that is the point.

I watch a youtuber that lives in an RV.

Its pretty cool.

He drives around all over the country and sees all sorts of stuff.

And if he decides to stay in one place for an extended length of time he rents a car.

Seems like a pretty cool way to live if you don't mind the constant travel.

literally 100% of the guys I have talked to during this process has expressed a degree of jealousy.

financially, freedom to move and so on.

Of course, the most important aspect is that I am single, so that makes me a prime candidate.

wouldn't mind the lifestyle, and would go smaller than that myself, if there was a free or cheap place to park. RV lots are expensive from what I've seen.

Thats a good idea.

I like the thought of having the freedom of going anywhere in the county on a whim.

Although if it were me, I'd just be going back and forth on the PCH...lol

I think most people do go smaller. When I first started looking I was going for a Class C, and ended up lucky with this class A.

Lots around my area are going to be about 300/month. full utilities included.

water comes from the lot, it has a dish, but most lots have connections.

I can literally park anywhere and use the generator as long as I keep gas in the tank.

I guess most people don't know that RV lots provide the same utilities as a home/apartment. Internet, cable, water, electricity and so on.

but it can be self sustaining if need be. like when I go on vacation.

Pretty cool. Thinking about doing this in a few years when I retire. Interested in hearing pros and cons as you move in and get settled. Probably going to need a storage locker or something?

I have been what most people would consider a 'minimalist' for a while.

I have my telescopes and books. lol.

no need for storage. I may get rid of some of my clothes, but there is so much storage area in this ****er that I can easily do it.

My bed, kitchen table/chairs, and washer/dryer are gone. but I have all those in the vehicle.

If you are single I recommend it. If you are renting, I suggest do it now.

I did it early. Still wish I did it earlier. I am anxious and afraid, but in the long run, this is so worth it.

that's not bad at all. I had thought about a small RV for awhile, but now am leaning more towards a boat. My work is close to a river and I could just anchor out. Use a dinghy to get to shore. Zero rent, 15 minute commute, days off just chilling on my boat or fishing or swimming, rocked to sleep every night.

I am going to stay at RV lots. Before moving I will already have a lot picked out and coordinated. So many people (especially military) already live in long term lots. A local unit has about 50 lots, only 12 of which are not long term.

Before moving, I will have it secured and only move from one place to the next (driving as little as possible because **** driving this thing).

This is way more common than most people think.

lol, I am honestly way more concerned about driving this thing than flying a Blackhawk.

But there are way more people on the road than in the air so that makes sense.

either way, hold my beer.

So you spent 60k, still have to pay $300 a month + idk how much gas that tank takes, for 250 sq ft and the stigma of having to fk girls in a RV?

Good for you OP. For me it would be tough, what if you got to poop a lot? Surely the RV is crap on gas right?
