Dgayhawk1980 is gonna have a sore bum tomorrow. He's just getting shafted left and right.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

And what's making that even worse is that you are/were a police officer, the people who are sworn to uphold the law.

In reality what you're doing here whether you see/admit it or not is reinforcing the idea that cops will stick up for their own regardless.

Not only that but it kinda calls into question what type of officer you are or were.

Trust me bro I'm no cop hater though I could be with a clear conscious with things I've seen or been through, although super rare for me, I've dealt with some officers who were complete class acts (as far as I know anyways).

I can usually see both sides of the argument, but I don't feel there's as much grey area here as you'd like to think.
No where did i stick up for him nor say what he did was okay. I was responding about him being a corrupt cop framing an innocent man

A. The guy was not innocent, it was probably his drugs the cop was using.

B. The cop wasnt running around trying to find someone to plant drugs on.

The cop did chit police work and will now pay with the very least his career for a charge that wouldnt even habe stuck anyway

That was my point

Here. You said the cop was kind heartly trying to be a good lil pig by getting a criminal off the streets. Nowhere did you say the cop was in the wrong for the act for trying to FRAME someone. Instead u say he is dumb for getting caught. The world is a million times safer with u without a badge on the streets.

The video simply says that the man was held on "a man awaiting trial has been held drug charges related to this video since January".

The point isn't whether he's a career criminal or not, it's that cops shouldn't be able to plant evidence under any situation. Agree or disagree?
No cops can not plant evidence

Do you think this cop was rolling around with a huge baggie of crack just waiting to plant it on someone?

I literally took off the first two sentences of u talkin sht. The rest is your complete quote. U LITERALY say the cop is dumb fir risking his job over a charge. Thats wat youre hellbent on. Not the fact one of your own guys are crooked but the fact he wasted it on a weak charge that would have been dropped.

Cop probably saw the dealer toss the can, went and checked it out, saw it was drugs but forgot his bodycam was off so decided to turn it on to restart and make a clean bust on camera. Ded srs

Do you not understand the saying "ends justifies the means"? Its a pretty common saying used to describe outcomes of events. I used the term because thats probably what the officer believed he was doing. Now show me where i said it was okay for him to do it. God damn do you guys not understand how phrases can be used to explain things? That doesnt mean i agree with his "means" im simply stating what the cops mindset probably was. It was to show the cop wasnt simply running around looking to frame someone

Not to plant it, probably to snort it himself, but when opportunity knocks, you answer.

It's guys like him that make the average person hate cops. If the idiot actually saw that and stopped saying stupid ****, it would do a world of good for police in general. Instead he beats his chest like a gigantic ******* and makes everyone cringe and hate police even more. Dude seriously needs to jump off a building.

Where do you guys come up with this stuff? Im not defending a god damn thing in this thread i couldnt care less if every drug was legal and sold at mcdonalds. My points are in response to the post "corrupt cop frames innocent man"

A. Dude wasnt innocent, the drugs were his.

B. The cop fabricated the video ajd probably his report to get a criminal off the streets which is wrong but is why i said "ends justifies the means" because the cop thought he was doing a good thing but did it the wrong way.

With all this body cam bull**** i bet liberal judges are throwing out evidence because it wasn't "caught on body cam" so he was just trying to cover his bases. Nobody can seriously believe this cop was driving around with a couple ounces of crack waiting to plant it

As long a the evidence is upheld and how it's presented in the article is how it happened, this guy should be hung up to dry. As far as I'm concerned planting evidence like this makes you no better than the criminals you arrest. There should absolutely be a zero tolerance policy for things like this and the (former) officer should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

If you are in a position of public trust and deliberately violate that trust like this, you're a scum bag. The "Ends justify the means" does not apply here. That's the logic criminals use.

That's not realistic at all. My department uses recording devices. A lot of the time, they simply don't work. Maybe not quite half the time, but it seems that way. I want them to work. I want to have that evidence. I want to look back on my recordings so I get everything right, because I do my job legally.

It's not that we are using cheap cameras or anything either (made by the same people that make EoTech optics), it's just that there are about 10 layers of security and uploading/downloading/connecting/etc that need to all be working and if one of those things isn't working, the whole system will fail. It's not just a "power on" type thing.

I've been on calls that half way through my camera fails. Why? I don't know. But it stops. Did I touch it? Do this deliberatley? Nope. It just turns off. Just the reality of body cameras for the time being.
