Ketogenic diet for face gains (srs)

I tried all the fad diets and this one did not help me stay lean after cutting. I gained all the lbs back in like a week of maintenace. What i'm doing now, short IF and eating when hungry and stopping when satisfied (not full) has done wonders. Also eating less protein has made me shed fat surprisenly and i still have all my strength and size

No chit you still produce glycogen, you just wont have it inexcess. After your carb intake is restricted for a few days, glycogen stores in the muscle are reduced. Since glycogen is responsible for water retention, when glycogen levels fall, so do our water levels. That is a fact.
So yes, you will lose water weight very quickly in the first few days and it will stay off as long as you remain low-carb/ketogenic. Tapping into the holy grail of the dryness look is achieved with keto.
Just lol at it being a "fad" diet
Brb the appetite suppressing effect of ketogenic diets is so strong that in many studies, people report being less hungry even after substantial weight loss on the diet.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25402637
Brb Ketogenic diets do not adversely affect any relevant biomarker of health in most studies and are generally considered very safe.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23651522
Brb many people find that keto diets increase mental performance and wellbeing compared to higher carb diets
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19212822

Please, tell me more how keto is a fad diet.
absolutely, it's not even a question
Improves physique aesthetics too, but suit yourself.

Certain tissues like the central nervous system, notably the brain, cannot use fat as fuel, because fatty acids cannot cross the blood-brain barrier. So when glucose is scarce in the diet as a result of a low carbohydrate intake, the liver converts fatty acids to ketones, which the brain can use (up to ~75% of energy needs). Specifically, during ketogenesis the liver converts acetyl-CoA to 3 ketone bodies.
1. Acetoacetate, which isn’t very prevalent.
2. β-hydroxybutyric acid (bHB), the primary ketone though it’s actually strictly speaking not a ketone.
3. Acetone, which doesn’t really do much except give you the distinct ‘keto breath’ when it is expelled via the lungs, causing a somewhat sweet and fruity odor that some people smell during a ketogenic diet.
Ketones are water soluble equivalents of fatty acids. Acetoacetate and β-hydroxybutyrate can therefore be transported by the blood to peripheral tissues, where they can be converted back to acetyl-CoA and oxidized through the TCA cycle. Fatty acids cannot be freely transported in the blood stream because of their hydrophobic properties. The transport of fatty acids in the blood stream is carried out by VLDL and chylomicron. In addition to their advantage over fatty acids in ease of transport, ketones can replace glucose as fuel in most of the body. Certain tissues, such as heart muscle and the renal cortex, actually preferentially use ketones to glucose.
Gluconeogenesis only converts protein at 57%. Even on 1.75g protein/kg/d you can still achieve deep ketosis.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6865776
So yes, you can shift fuel types in your body. Again, you're a pseudo intellectual ******* with a pathetic understanding of ketogenic dieting and most likely a pathetic physique as well. Your rationale for why a ketogenic diet is "retarded" was merely something that you pulled out of your ass
U mad?

Also what do you eat pre/post workout for energy? I like to have 2 cups of skim milk pre/post training (so that's 26 grams of carbs before and after training) and the veggies I mention above, which would be all my carbs for the day. Rest of my diet is eggs, protein powder and meat. I've lost a ton of weight but find myself stressing over the details.
