No, he's real. I've exchanged words with him off the forum for several months until he got tired of my input because he wants everyone to praise him.

Thanks for bumping him up another 70k.

Some of you really need to get used to the fact that there are people like this out there and they're only going to become more prevalent as we go further into the 21st century. People who in spite of not having any debilitating conditions simply don't know how to operate in the world and get worse the less they act conducively and the older they get because they've had meal tickets their whole lives.

he kept asking for advice to lose weight once
people kept saying, it's really a troll frauding with an obese pic
then he posted proof it was him with a spoon and/or a sign
one guy then said, "Welp here you go OP" and linked him to the Losing Fat section
he replied by saying he's addicted to Misc and cannot focus on cardio due to Misc

so it is really him. I thought he was being srs though, not I don't know. If not my feelings are...a bit bruised. I'll get over it though.

No idea now, he used to be part of a private forum I help set up but he quit due to us not mollycoddling him. He did lose about 10lbs at one point over a 3 month period (If my memory serves me, could be a different amount/a different time frame), and we were proud of him but he fell off the wagon again a month later as the stress and loneliness had got to him.

The problem is that when he has progress he automatically thinks it's enough to get the ball rolling - get work, get a GF etc and when it doesn't his motivation goes out the window.

He also managed to get a job during that time, it wasn't prestigious but it was a start. He ended up acting inappropriately, no idea if he ultimately backed off but I really dug into him for getting his first job in years and acting inappropriately from the outset.

I'm not in touch with him anymore, I'm too abrasive (harshly honest) for him. He needs a strong male role model in his life - I can't say why he hasn't got one due to it being private information.

I have a lot of trouble believing someone would make this thread and the previously quoted thread in earnest. People have common sense (some less so than others) and the ability to differentiate between good and bad decisions. From this mindset, he could not have possibly sat down on his computer, typed up this whole thread, and still concluded that it's a good idea to post it in hopes that she would respond. I know we joke about miscers being basement dwelling neckbeards, but from what I've seen of y'all, most are semi normal, just actively participating in unfiltered discussion.

Or maybe I'm too optimistic. In any case, doubt 70k is going to make his case any better if he really is delusional and clueless enough to think this would work.

He lacks common sense. For good reason. I can't tell you half of what I know because I know a lot about his life but I'm still a half decent person and he confided these things to me.

A) Upset and realises he needs to change
B) Changes marginally, usually after advice
C) Expects success to rain upon him due to B
D) Gets angry and frustrated because it doesn't
E) Assumes he doesn't actually need to change, the environment is the problem including those who provided advice.
F) Calms down, sees that his life still sucks so goes back to A.
