reminds me of this, guy went cave diving and died, guys friend organizes rescue attempt for friends body with line and staged tanks leading all the way up to the corpse.
he gets to the body and as he starts to ready it for movement it comes out of the mud it was stuck in and starts to float around with the line tangling up the diver, neither him or his friend made it out alive.

The amount of broscientists in this thread thinking they know better than three of the best cavedivers in the world, hundreds of experts and military specialists is amazing. It really is as simple as laying down a bunch of guidelines and forming a human chain eh?

With that in mind, hey, Elon Musk just called and he needs your help getting to Mars. And once you're done with that, CERN needs help interpreting the data collected from the large hadron collider.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm all up for discussing and offering up ideas.

i know it's a nice sentiment to provide food for the 4 months, but mcdonald's coming in as the "official sponsor" of this ordeal seems odd TBH.

At first they received high calorie paste supplements and paracetamol, the rescuers having been doubtful at the beginning that they would find the children but erring on the side of caution by bringingsomethingnonetheless.

Now that there is confirmation that the children are alive, rice and pork wrapped in plastic (to keep out water obviously) are going to be brought to the children along with a bunch of other supplies such as flashlights and additional medicines, presumably prophylactic medications. Now that they know where the children are for sure that should be a much easier task, assuming the rains let up and don't worsen.

I don't see anything about McDonalds sponsoring the rescue operation but when you think about it, it does make sense. I take it you guys have seen those news reports about McDonalds burgers remaining mold-free for more than a year despite being left out in the open for that duration of time? They're calorie dense, delicious, protein rich and saturated with preservatives lol.

I am going to make the assumption that plastic bags will be provided for the kids to crap and piss in.

they give them healthy food options as well. "summer salad sundays" or something i think they were calling it. fuk wish i could find that article.
